Is it just me, or are the prices of ferrogel going down? If so, will this trend keep up?

I saw it hitting +75k on sell orders last night, I was looking forward to seeing it hit a hundred. Oh well, we shall see what we shall see.

I'm suddenly wondering what the 2 Rhea JF's I have in production will sell for when they come out. :D |

Considering they've been selling below cost for several weeks now, I really hope the ones on the market get reprocessed before you have to move yours.

I have been marking up my T2 ships but for the last week I have just held them. Now I'm out of isk as I have so much tied up in orcas and components and T2 mats, also don't forget the 300 mill GTC.
I hope someone with isk comes and helps clear the markets before the sellers start to slash prices just to move the produces. |

Considering they were selling last week 1.3 bil over my cost. :) I only build ME -1 JF's. now an ME -5. They were barely breaking even last week if at all. |

Yeah, I was looking from a standard -5 ME when I ran my calcs and decided to buy off the market rather than build my own. Regardless, they're exceptionally cheap for the amount of time that gets put into building them.

Originally by: Kazzac Elentria Alchemy will star to kick in once price holds around 180k, but even then its still a very inefficient way of doing things so there is that time value that should be added into the cost.
Who knows though, this is EVE land of the my minerals are free.
In the long term, I'd expect high ends to actually start to make a recovery as well. It stands to reason we'll have less of our Russian friends farming drones and more of them spamming towers.
Alchemy has been very profitable this month.
This just makes it more so. |

Yeh, I think the prices went too high in a mad rush... its like the stock exchange and share prices rising rapidly with no real assets or value to back it up - hence the wall Street crash .
Prices gonna drop soon, I'd get out of the market now tbh. |

prices went high due to speculators but too high, hardly. When we see the increasing demand of t2 due to delve war in conjunction with dwindling scarcity of dysprosium, prices can nothing but go up.
I'd say prices are still going up and if you are in t2 production now is the time to stock up if you havn't already. |

Same issues here. Went looking for ferrogel, none to be found. Eventually someone put it on sale for double the price, so i went to Jita bought little, put is on sale in of the regions with none. Canceled my t2 sales and moon materials pending prices topping off.
Of course, this all actually makes things worse, driving prices up. Its an interesting time to be in Eve. |

This would be called the first drop after the wave increase, it'll pick back up again today, drop a little tonight and then come back up again and stay relatively high over the weekend as speculators hold inventory and sell slowly.
...again it'll follow roughly the same pattern as the exploit freak out only with the equalizing price point being slightly higher if supply is restricted. |

*scratch head* seriously... it's just one alliance across 2 regions (plus here and there a bit). sure, some other guys profited rom the jump bridge network aswell, i assume.
but eve is still a lot bigger than that. the north has gone back to "normal", TCF has settled in deklein real quick and i'm sure they know what they're doing, etcetc.
there's still a static supply of moon minerals (no matter how much alchemy is trying to blur that fact) and a growing demand, so yes, i understand ever-climbing prices. but i believe this spike was too much. even if bob has to sit on their dysp ('ish products) in NPC stations until their JBs are back up, it still exists. so i see no room for speculations over more than a few weeks. and since the spike was too much, we're gonna have one of the few, rare "crashes" in along time - putting the gist back into logistics |

Almost all of the metioned materials (and components) did go down in price in the last 2 days, as far as i could follow, which really makes me wonder... is this whole thread basically a lets-seed-some-wrong-information-so-all-the-greedy-noobs-lose-their-money-on-speculation thingy? |

Now now, why would we lead the uneducated lemmings into a pitfall of huge monetary losses?

No, again its roughly following the same trend as the last boom in price
Prices spike as speculators buy everything Everyone sees profit potential and starts selling Panic Sellers drop everything in stock in attempt to clear house Speculators move back in buying excess up and hold for the inevitable climb again Prices start to find equilibrium as everyone seeds stock off slowly and production kicks back up
Prices will be back up... will it see 80k a unit again for Ferrogel.. prolly not.
Will it see 70k again, most likely.

this reminds me of a famous Baron de Rothschild quote:
"if theres blood on the street - buy property"
So instead of being a lemming, should you go for the opposite in these cases - and buy cheap as long as the panic lasts? |

KenZoku is the new alliance of old BoB. They've already grabbed sov1 back in Delve + some surroundings. The mess will be cleaned up in a couple to three weeks. Some old BoB vets have just resubbed for this whole event and not everyone from old BoB was invited into KenZoku (house cleaning), so I have a feeling KZ is going to cut a blaze of fury after this interruption in old BoB lands is settled. lol
This is indeed interesting. I wonder how long until KZ is shipping out moon goo again? Or if they ever stopped. |

Being been under siege its harder to move minerals to the high sec markets, I know people don't think of the JB network as a big deal but with the system up you can move 2 shipments back and forth in a single day.
Without it you have to have titans, or jump ships. Both of which are costly and can't move as much as a JB network. |

Me being a new investor, this is EXACTLY what happened last time. I got scared when the prices went down, but things started looking up again.

This is what makes the whole situation interesting. How did they manage to get Sov 1 in 1 day?? CCP is up to something.

Well either u can put on your Tinfoil hat and believe CCP helped them out. Or you can look at other posts on this same topic, where very few people with alliance pos experiance were surprised by the sov regain. It was even stated the day b4 that it would happen by both sides.

Sov calculations are based on how long the tower has been up, not how long the corp with the tower has been in the alliance.

Love it, by sheer luck my main's corp purchased 7 weeks supply of ferrogel raws on Tuesday just before the prices shot up, so our manufacturing cost for Ferrogel is about 31.6K and we have enough stock laid in to build about 3.2M units, so the higher ferrogel goes the better.
