Posted - 2009.02.07 02:31:00 - [13] i was in warped mining. just came back from a break in the game and wanted some capital fights. got one and quit :P plus as a corp they're terrible, bob pet or not. calling them a corp doesnt fit, i think like 4-5 people used to really chat with one another on ts. then theres the bob director who logs in every now and then, get an update from his minion corp. i remember one time i said i cant scramble him because im lagged in fleet chat, and a bob director, probably like one of those ones who does nothing and is afk from game for a long time, sent me like 10 lines of , *****, , shut the up in our fleets, or dont join... well ok! really alot of people hear people say bob are arrogant, but you still havent experienced it first hand until you've flown with them, only the spies from goonswarm or other places could say they've actually 'flown' with bob and had a personal taste of their arrogance. i was in goon fleets, always a great time, even if you dont like them you know what your getting with goons and they dont pretend to be anything otherwise. but still they're more fun to be in fleet with, ** up fleet chat until its time to clear it, no emo raging that i know of, maybe it goes on behind closed doors, i doubt goons call their pets terrible (even if said pets are terrible) id rather have 500 tech 1 fit bs than 75 tech 2 fit ones, so that whole thing about bob on their forums talking about exe must fit all tech2 etc etc...people fit what they can fit, better to have another able body pilot along than none at all. im so uninformed, i really thought bob respected their main allies exe, etc, but there just means and meatshields to an end like all that come and go. even if goons said zennith were terrible, im sure they wouldnt say a main ally like tcf are terrible (even if they were) bob thinks its a victory to kill 30 tech 1 cruisers and lose 5 hacs. but i still hold to my position, goons need an arch enemy to keep them entertained. and pos warfare sucks and it has to be revamped so we dont spend 7 months fighting over one system because of pos timers. /rant :)

And yet MM will still fight for goons. Every alliance has all sorts of opinions about allies; some negative, some positive. Judging by some things I've seen on our killboard in the past, I would say bob had some rights to complain about T1 fits. Its about getting better and improving our fleet ability (since we can't rely on raw numbers). We've come a long way since Delve Mk1, but I'm certain we have a way to go yet. In closing...bring it.

The guy you quoted was actually right, though BoB had little choice but to grin and bear it with such low participation. Not that Exe are bad, they're marginally better than Atlas and probably the most fervent and loyal amongst the GBC - they probably just lack strong leadership and FCs like most of the GBC so perform better when lead by BoB. Captain Thunk Ahh, its the mighty Captain Thunk again, lamenting about EXEs K/D ratio. Don't you have more important stuff to care about? But thanks for your concern mate! Anyway, EXE usually operates its own fleets since the MAX campaign. That also includes we use our own intel, scouts, titans most of the time. Of course our FCs are in contact to BoBs FCs, at least I would think so because how else could we coordinate our attacks. I won't say that K/D ratios are irrelevant, because if you lose stuff you cant replace it will have an impact obviously. But so far we have always been able to compensate for losses. With our new tasks, our industrial backbone has grown too. In the end, EXE has become much more potent when acting on our own. We still have lots to learn, and we want to learn, and we have a good teacher. So, while we still might not have the tactical or strategical finesse of other alliances, we are trying to get better and do our part in these wars. Live and learn. I think it's pretty cool that BoB thinks that we are ready to do Diversions or stuff like that as a seperate entity now. That is what we always wanted to be. A valuable asset to the GBC, an ally. We never payed rent either btw. In essence, it is true that we have become what we are today because BoB let us evolve. And evolution is an ongoing process, it's never over :P As for arrogance, I think PL is the new BoB in that matter. Funny, if you consider that most people hated BoB for being arrogant. Should take a look in the mirror sometimes, or history will repeat itself hehe. To the goons we say: Bring it, there will never be a better chance! We are not afraid, sorry for GOONTOPIA!!! lol

I'm not interested in trolling Exe, but as one of the alliances that killed those pos's linked in that thread I wanted to see what BOB's opinion on our tower setups (compared to Exe's) were. Yet none of the tower intel topics for the southern campaign seem to work, Did Molle lie about full disclosure? I guess I'll have to wait for Mittens' leak.
