Make buttons for each drone group like we aready have with guns we can make grouped guns why not launch buttons for grouped drones.
For example hit ctrl + 4 to launch drone group 1, hit ctrl + 5 to launch group 2. Let the player make buttons assined to groups and let them launch drones by buttons not just the mouse.
Hope my idea is consevible. Thanks for reading.

I like it. I use drones a LOT and use shortcuts for attack target (F9), return and orbit (CTRL+F9), return to bay (Shift+F9), seeing as F9 isn't used by the game for anything, and I'd love to see this idea as an option in keyboard shortcuts.

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. Drones need some love. We have a hotkey for attack and return, but it really needs to go further. I wouldn't mind if they gave you a maximum number of groups (perhaps 8, just like there's a maximum of 8 highslots). So how about 8 drone groups, controlled by shift+F1 - shift+F8? I can't imagine ever needing more than 8 groups (apart from possibly carriers, never flown one so I'm not sure).
Another badly needed drone change is the ability to organise your groups before you undock. Give the drone bay window tabs for the groups, and allow the player to drag drones to those tabs while inside a station. There would also need to be a base tab for ungrouped drones. It's really annoying to quickly fit up a new dominix because you have WTs in the next system and your corp is waiting for you before going to attack them, then you undock, go through the gate, and warp to the battle, only to realise on the way that your drones aren't grouped yet and you have to go through the horribly annoying drone window and right click on them to put them into groups.

I was thinking about this, and why not have it work the same way as guns (same type, meta lvl) and have them form "squadrons". Make 1 model for a 5 drone squadron etc, if one drone pops it becomes a 4 drone squadron, etc. Them your drones would fly in formation and it would be both ascetically nicer and with 4 less models on the screen less lag for all.
