New Zealand - Yesterday was okay, - today is total crap and I have giving up watching it, due to the crap feed, you tube will give a better replay later than the choppy crap that is displayed today - pity as I was enjoying it big time yesterday. |

If you are having issues with the stream, I would strongly encourage you to send an email through to support @ totalstream.net. Remember to include your IP and Location. Total Stream support are able to see why the traffic in between you and their server is causing buffering issues, and in many cases provide an alternate link which should help you view the stream...

Originally by: Misanth High quality stream works perfectly, the picture and sound quality is good - however, the sound is really, really, really low. It's a bit annoying to not hear the commentators and pre-/post-match talk if you got other stuff/sound going on.
Crank up the volume!
Gonna quote myself from yesterday to point out that it has improved. I didn't change my settings from yesterday, but today the sound from the stream is great. Thanks. |

Hasn`t worked at all for me, really disapointed! All of the other tourneys have been fine.
Not good at all! I get maybe 5 seconds on the low quality feed, then its just a buffer-fest, unwatchable.

its not the first time you fail to bring a good broadcast, you had 2 weekends of radio coverage only and way enough time to make it right for the final weekend, and yet again you fail.
from a business perspective: you either do it right or you do not do it at all.
ccp is in this business long enough and still fails at basic competence.
without all of us nerds forgiving you every fail you perform you would have been rock bottom in the game industry. pr stunts going wrong, devs not knowing the game and it still continues.... |

I agree with the above. Being the people developing our game they are not allowed to make ANY mistakes.
No mistakes ever. If you make one more mistake I'm going to cancel my 542 accounts and all my friends will cancel too.
/sarcasm
So anyway, who else hasn't had any major problems? I'm highly enjoying all of this |

Edited by: NereSky on 08/02/2009 20:15:57 Tbh the comments stated are a tad harsh, considering the small amount of peeps incl me didnt get to watch the finals, im quite dissapointed but not bitter, from what ive been reading it was quite good
all i got was a still shot of KIAeddz with no sound :(
if the nos not getting a good feed are just hthe few here on this thread then it seems like the majority did good a good feed and if that is the case well done

5 by 5 superb quality stream from Sydney, Australia. Faultless, lagless, high res. Awesome job guys!
For other Aussies who are interested, I'm with Internode. Top recommendations to that ISP for Eve use. |

Edited by: Arconite on 09/02/2009 00:31:21 Well thanks for the tourney.
I had some issues with Saturdays feed which corrected itself after a couple of hours. Unfortunately Sunday was a not so good and resulted in a support call to the streaming company - who thankfully supplied me with a direct low qual feed which was better than nothing. So I got best part of the feed from Sunday.
Despite the problems over the last couple of days, I did enjoy the tourney and look forward to the next one. Whilst I and others appreciate the effort and cost involved going into this event, there were not these sort of problems from the last live tourney run by the original EvE TV crew.
My honest suggestion is - if you are going to broadcast it for FREE - then please deliver it properly. I know you guys run a business but if you say you are going to deliver - us folks on the ground really do set our sights on that and when it goes pear shaped it's disheartening and people are frustrated. If the cost is that much of an issue and to guarantee a decent service - then perhaps a pay per view event is an option? at least those who are willing to pay to view - can do so but with zero frustration and zero loss to quality.
Other than the slight on the streaming experience of EvE Tourneys - it was good fun and I enjoyed it.
Thanks to all those involved,
Arc

For me it worked perfectly, I had no buffering, interruptions or lag at any time. In fact is ws much as watching TV. Very happy with it.
I'm in southern Sweden on a 10MB "citynet".

I watched it in "Low Quality" just incase, since I played Eve at the same time and had few laptops leeching my bandwidth. Everything worked perfectly. Thank you for the greatest tournament since... ever. |
