anybody explain this fight - 3 of their ships dissapeared without a single blow.. whats up ? or it is lags on Eve TV, and i simple miss something :) |

The crows wound up dying due to the huginn/rapier, atleast one did, but the other died shortly prior.
1 of the Rokh's DC'd/vanished. After the one rokh vanished eventually something happened, guess they had cap issues, but they shortly dropped due to unable to tank(from the looks of it anyways) the rokhs dropped. Once the one rokh left, they kind of folded. Then the bovines started work on the lonely vulture.
Note: There have been a couple of people complaining about lag/choppy feed right around the time the fight started... perhaps it's related?
Also fixed and properized my post since... who knows, maybe TT's to blame, yeah I blame our queen.

they had a rokh CTD, after that rest couldn't tank
bad luck, i think they would've won if he hadn't

i still think this idea was somewhat stupid. sure, having no cap problems is nice... but that doenst mean you can permatank 2k+ dps on a shieldtanking ship. theres no crystal imps, no faction invus/deadspace hardeners/deadspace shield boosters and amplifiers in the turney... so you hardly reach the point where you can maybe permatank a gankmegathron (1.2k dps) but what when 3 abaddons fire at you? or even 10 navy caracals? melting rokhs that is War, war never changes |

I'm pretty sure that, had they not had a disconnect, -A- would have won that. To look at your 'checklist' above:

* permatank a gankmegathron (1.2k dps) - tanks damage * permatank 2 gankmegathrons (2.4k dps) - tanks damage * permatank 3 gankmegathrons (3.6k dps) - tanks damage (with hardwirings / overheating)
* 3 abaddons - tanks damage (highest shield resistance on those Rokh setups are Explosive, followed closely by EM)
* 10 navy caracals - close, but doable with hardwirings/overheating)
If you look at the Rokh/Vulture setups -A- fielded, those Rokh's had absolute monster tanks. Simply unlucky regarding the disconnect.

unfortunatly i dont know what exactly they had fittet... the only way i know to really tank that amount would be to run dual x-large shield booster II and the rest of the medslots completly filled with tanking mods as well. but isnt that a bit dangerous to field something like this? this setups relies so heavy on the cap transfer then, that it means this setup is VERY vulnerable to jammers and cap warfare(which i wouldnt use in this turney), but considering how many kitsunes/other ecm ships people have fielded already this was a VERY dangerous setup to field. only way i could think of is that they knew what the others field War, war never changes |
