Perhaps be able to export each week at a time, so one day a week he would be able to update the allaince web page with the new csv info.
would also minimise the performance hit the database takes.
Sounds cool. The site setup CA (not a clue how he built it though) is (if you have not seen it yet): CA Public Kill list It's rather basic at the moment, but have great potential and very simple to use.
The Kill mails are just copied into the ingame website from the evemail with the name of the killed and the body of the mail pasted in. The rest is then done through the system that will pick up and sort the information.
Also as the the kill mail is only sent to one person there are some clever code that picks up the rest of the participating people in the kill.
As one of the participating people you look at your profile and then confirm the kill. There by all involved parties get credit etc.
Just because something is fixed doesn't mean you can't break it

Kinda why I'm b!tching about this...
The more bells, whistles & trinkets CCP gives you guys, the slower the servers get...
This game already has enough doo-dads, I think they need to trim off some excess fat, not add more...
I can see how it's important for alliances & corps who are at war. I just don't want to see some CCP programmer go off on a tanget, and add bunch more email sh!t and slow down the game even more...
I've alreday had enough of the emails from myself about skill training...
They need to dump that useless data afaic...
You are one grumpy sod...

No they dont. There are stats and shortcuts listening your name if you were involved in the kill.
Very easy and simple as I wrote above.

Do the guys with the most kills every month get a cookie or a medal?

Used to have respect for you. I guess that was a mistake....
Reason for all kills are listed is to get as much stats as possible. No need to boost the list, if you look at the ôPublic kill statisticsö you get the break down anyway.

And there goes my respect. We used to fly for so many months, you were part of Omega and thus you were part of the CA. Here i was to believe that you left Omega corp and the CA on good terms, and that joining the enemy would not mather for the friendships you build with OC. Gues i was an idiot. - - -

It'd give your kill a bit more bite if you kill someone with basic insurance though.
