Just scored a 703 HP hit with a single shot from my tachyon (with Gamma L) in a megathron at about 30km.
To put it into context I am still working my way up to 4mil skill points and the biggest hit up until now was about 400 with a torp. So getting 703 with one blast of the tachyon made my jaw drop!
I'm sure you'll all put me to shame, but what has been your most impressive hit and what weapon config/ship did you have?

(k more seriously was mining so I had mix of miner IIs and tachyons / cruise and torps for defence)

Thanks for the info! I only had two tachyons fitted so my cap was never below 50%. But your advice about Neutron blasters noted!
But back to the topic:
