Their models are ok they could do with abit more work but those ships are uber powerful. They were quickly able to dispatch us and popped my chimera.

Iirc when we were all going omgwtf is this how powerful they really are one of the devs commented that maybe the sleeper missiles were a bit overpowered and needed looking into because they were concentrating on tweaking the ai atm.
So yes please, look deeply.

The battleship, at least, had lights on it. Just a few white navigation light (guessing for them that'd make those night lights).
You can see them in the Battleship 4 pic. White dots on the bottom of the ship.

...that sounds awesome ...we want a challenge!
Sleepers are bound to have the upper hand at first and put up good resistance to anything invading their space ..hopefully CCP will make it difficult for us.. with a bit of time we will discover their weaknesses and find a set-up that wins!
..looks promising though, how long do the sleepers last, can they tank a lot of damage?

Moar like the devs were cranky at us begging for spawns. I can only guess they had their giggles when they amped up the damage to capitol levels.

They are spawning at Planet 9 in FD-MLJ (no moon...just Planet 9 [PLANet 9 from Outer Space? ). Nowhere else that I am aware of. Of course EVERYONE goes there to try them out so a bit of a lagfest but doable.

Wow, those things make Caldari ships look glamorous.
Are those early versions of the ships or were they intended to look that dull?

You all realize they probably bumped the damage up to test the AI. That way they didn't have to keep spawning NPC's.
Long time on field shows them how the AI will interact over time, which is what I'm guessing they were going for. Stop, hammer time. |

FAKE EDIT. (no it's not from wow /backhand)
Either from Dune or from Privateer 2.
it is from the first book in the dune series "Dune" and it was said by Leto Atreides when talking to his son Paul about moving to Arakis edit: oh wait he said the sleeper must awaken my fault Paul reciprocated in Dune Messiah say the sleeper had awakened |

Nope.
While they might be "balanced" further, those were confirmed to be normal Sleeper NPCs, albeit those of the highest difficulty available in-game, and only to be found in the very best areas of 0.0 W-Space - essentially Sleeper Officers. |
