I'm planning on using an armageddon fr solo pirating, mainly empire space people hunting or mining in battleships, i was thinking 7 mega pulse and a medium smartbomb in high slots, 2 20km warp disrupors in meds along with a tech 2 recharger, lows would be 1 L repairor, and thermal and kinetic hardners along with a stack of cap relays to keep it sll running, i figure due to the high damage output of the mega pulse and the light tanking that is needed for empire space hunting, they wont last long, any thoughts on ways to improve?

If you're in empire then odds are that people won't be setup to fight you anyway. All you really need are some scramblers and a tough attitude. Just make them crap their pants and pay bounties. Act CRAZY.

If you're in empire then odds are that people won't be setup to fight you anyway. All you really need are some scramblers and a tough attitude. Just make them crap their pants and pay bounties. Act CRAZY.

I think your setup is quite ok.. i was thinking about similar setup for solo pvping...
Maybe nosferatu instead of smartbomb... i'll see what i can fit
And this on low:
1L repairer, 2x hardeners, 3x cap relays, 2x heat sink2
It shouldn't take more than 20sec to kill AFK miner;)

It shouldn't take more than 20sec to kill AFK miner;)

If you only want to hunt some miners or some npc killer in low sec empire the armagedon is a great ship for those actions.
You should fit a Large Smartbomb, sometimes the miners launch many drones.
But be carefull sometimes you find mining scorpions, the like to fit some jammer for mining actions and if you meet a mining scorp think about attacking or flying away.

If you only want to hunt some miners or some npc killer in low sec empire the armagedon is a great ship for those actions.
You should fit a Large Smartbomb, sometimes the miners launch many drones.
But be carefull sometimes you find mining scorpions, the like to fit some jammer for mining actions and if you meet a mining scorp think about attacking or flying away.

The question is how to get within scramble range of any person? Most of the targets I have seen so far have ran away from me. If I am lucky, I land 30k from them. Then I mwd closer, lock them half way so that lock and scramble will be at same time. But by the time I get there, he is already warping out.
Do I have to strap 2 mwd on my mega? I have no room for anything then.

I'd suggest going for a gankageddon setup.
His - mega beams or whatever they are
Meds- Tracking Computers
Los- Heat Sinks
You'll kill that ickle miner before he can say "wtf why you shooting me?". You might want a disrupter on there, iunno, youy might kill them faster than they can align anyway. I'd suggest carrying a real pvp setup or stick to systems close to your base in case you find someone fitted for a fight.

Comet Girl. I know what you mean when I'm flitting about in my caracal if I don't windup on top of em or they are very dumb they tend to escape. I'd say get a frigate pal to help.

Comet Girl. I know what you mean when I'm flitting about in my caracal if I don't windup on top of em or they are very dumb they tend to escape. I'd say get a frigate pal to help.

Unfortunately I am in a non pvp corp in a non-pvp alliance. The number of people that I can chose from seems rather small, and no one wants to do any pirating, ever.
I am too scared to gang up with CA for fear of being backstabbed.

Create an alt on your account, give it a frigate with mining beams. Fly out to the belt someone is in, park 10km behind him, start mining a roid and make a BM.
Once your hold is full run back to whatever station your main was in and escrow the bookmark, warp in and ultra gank his ass.
Its worth a shot, make sure the alt is not in the newbie corp.

i agree, using an alt is a great ideal, pirating is about surpising your 'helpless victim' not floating up in an ultra slow bs, while they warp away before you can get into range
