You will not be able to make a thread about T3 ships without it descending into the argument about losing skill points.
It amuses me when I see this, as it does go to show that so many pirates are really carebears at heart, as they are just as risk adverse.
Few of them seem to realise that earning ISK to buy these little toys costs them time, so why should the skill loss matter that much? And as people have already stated, this is the test server, and these things are not necessarily going to make it to the live one, and even then, they could change.
No-one will fly them? I bet we'll all see plenty of them. The majority will be in safe areas, but you will always get people who will use them in PVP. Besides, how often do you see a Vargur or a Kronos in PVP? People just don't risk such high value ships that often.

Not that amazing. Companies fail. Even successful companies fail. You've only got to look at Lehman Brothers and all the biggest richest banks in the world... these are companies 1000 times bigger and more successful than CCP, being bailed out because they utterly failed.
Dev's are like architects and builders.. they may be very good at their job, but at the end of the day they dont live in the house they've built!... consider this, 50'000 accounts online at once, over 250'000 subscribers... 300 devs. Yes, I think you will find actually the players do know better, and this is why test servers exist, its why BETA's exist. Feedback is invaluble. A Dev cant live without it.. a gaming company cannot be successful without it.

Seems a little premature to comment on T3 ships until CCP replaces the placeholder components with "real" components. But I guess you could speculate that they will be obscenely expensive whether they walk on water or not. ---------------- Mutatis Mutandis |

As ive been saying all along, there is no point to risk SP loss to use them, therefore nobody will pvp with them, therefore t3 market will not exist, therefore w-space will be a failure.
Remove SP loss pentalty and people will use them sometimes instead of their hacs. Cruiser hulls are good for pvp so im sure people would find a use for them.
No your wrong they wont break the game you only need to train the skills to lvl 1 to fly them and if you lose the ship and a subsystem skill it takes 7 mins to get it back. if the ships strengths are good then REAL PVPERS will fly them just as they do faction fitted faction battleships in pvp now.

Exactly - and with the skills queue you could get a whole heap of skills up to level 3 overnight while you sleep....

Companies and most things fail when stupid people (accountants) get their hands onto technical things they don't understand and change things for no good reason to apparently "cut costs" or "increase revenue". Accountants (or beancounters as they should be referred to officially) are some of the most stupid people on the planet. Technical people like engineers and programmers know how to build things that work, test them to see if they do what they supposed to and then modify them to refine them so they do what they are supposed to do.
Accountants on the other hand cut costs and make stupid decisions - and cause companies to fail.
Don't compare banks and finance companies to technical people like engineers and programmers. Its like comparing an organised military mission to a nursing home's bus trip outing.
