What zcinner said, although in my experience that is the absolute minimum you'll be able to get away with. Maybe you want to extend your stay (to see the sights or cure your hangover) and maybe you'll want to stay at a hotel that is a little better and/or closer to the venue, and that adds up... To how much I can't say, your plan may end up costing up to 2x that minimum price. Maybe a bit excessive (or not), but I say it's better to err on the side of caution.
As for stuff like food and drinks... Don't know/want to know how much I spent previous years tbh, although I can say that 2007 prices weren't that far over what I'm used to here (Sweden, which can be pretty expensive to begin with), 2008 was a fair bit cheaper thanks to the Icelandic economy being the way it was. What it'll be like this year is anyone's guess...

IcelandAir packages are quite reasonable from the UK. They offer a range of hotels and from my experience in 2008, I would recommend the Hilton for those who like to be able to move around a bit in their room! It's right on top of the venue and very comfortable. The Cabin is quite close to the hall but the rooms are pokey and breakfast is a bit sparse.
Since the IcelandAir packages are available, it would be useful for CCP to at least let us know how much the FanFest 09 tickets will cost and when they will be available, so that budgets can be planned and Corps/Alliances organised!
Hope to see you all there. I'll be representing Eve Radio once again, I hope [center] Gaming Radio Networkhttp://www.battleclinic.com/kill_sigs/signature_display.ph |

Sounds cool, I 'should' be able to go to this year, but as has been mentioned in another related thread, personally I would wait until CCP announce the dates.
From what people were saying about last year, if you can afford it, go for whatever package includes the Hilton, as it has good access to the venue (it's only 5 to 10 mins walk away), and has a very good standard of rooms etc.
The Loftleider (spelling?) was quite reasonably priced, had good rooms, breakfast etc, but you'll need to hop on the bus to get to the venue.
The Cabin, by far the cheapest option. If all you want is a bed, four walls, a roof, floor and edible food for breakfast, this is for you. It's also pretty close to the Hilton, so again has the advantage of being quite close to the venue.
Both the Hilton and the Cabin are, as far as I remember, located fairly close to the pubs/bars/restaurants etc, so all is good.
Personally I can't wait to go, so here's hoping that CCP get's an announcement out shortly.

Has anyone stayed at Hotel Vik?? We are thinking about getting a hotel closer to venue but sticking a few extra days on as we didn't get chance to actually see any of Iceland last year. It looks as if it may be in the same sort of area as Nordica and Cabin ie 10 mins walk away but being female my skills don't adapt to playing eve and reading maps Sorry to hijack thread Lumina just curious to hotels etc
