Let's say I get drunk one night and decide to go in Amarr space (or another faction that hates me). Is it possible to kill one (or more) of their ships and if yes what setup? |

Hahaha. Well if my years of playing EVE, I've yet to see it. Your best bet would be not to play EVE drunk cause then you'll log on the next day missing a fully Tech 2 fitted Megathron worth about 250 million ISK... I'm not speaking from experience or anything. ><
But to answer your question, no I'm 99% sure it's not possible. Sorry. |

I'm sure it can be done. Theres a vid on youtube, which I cannot find right now, with a guy amassing a large number of police spawns and fighting them. |

Well on the Test Server I had a dream fitting for the Gallente Carrier and could tank them for a very long time, yes, but not beat them. More and more Concord would keep warping in until they blob you to death, hahaha. |

In theory it is possible. In practice they keep coming until you die or run away. |

Unlike CONCORD the faction police aren't invincible monsters of destruction. They'll just overwhelm you with sheer numbers but you can certainly kill them. |

Guys, I am pretty sure hes talking about the faction police ("...some faction that hates me..."). If this is the case, I do believe its possible to kill them, and once they are dead no more come. All of the posts so far are talking about CONCORD mechanics which are completely different. If I remember correctly a decently fit battlecruiser or battleship should be able to do this? Then again maybe I am remembering old mechanics and something has changed. |

Faction Police are killable but they do call in reinforcements if you start blowing them up.
CONCORD on the other hand are theoretically killable. But they come in such large groups with uber-1337 skills of pwning you, that if you manage to survive you'd get banned for exploits ;) |

Faction police were much weaker before the Empyrean Age upgrade last summer. As I understand, now they respond proportionally to your threat. So, expect them to be tough. |

You are right.
Faction police are absolutely killable. Indeed they will chase you if you are low enough sec status or if they catch you carrying illegal goods (narcotics and other things). You are free to fight them off if you want.
I have never fought them but hear they are not too hard although they apparently like to scram ships so keep that in mind.
And I do not think you can farm them. No bounties and no loot drop (not sure about salvage).
CONCORD are different thing entirely...****ing them off = death to you. Period.

Edited by: Oni Triad on 13/02/2009 15:53:45 Sorry for the first post, yes I meant faction police and not Concord. There was a vid of this guy, on Tranquility, somewhere in Sinq I think, fighting some 20 ships. Can;t remember what ship he had (it was a bs for sure) or fitting.
Also, can I hide from them using a cloak? |

I imagine it would be possible to snipe a CONCORD frigate, but that's all you'd be able to do.

I have been in EVE long enough to remember the drama surrounding M0o from way back...
I don't know the details, but I followed it at the time. They basically took over an empire system and were able to beat back the local faction navy ships or something. I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that they were destroying them faster than they could respawn, giving them effective control of the system. And consequently, bringing all hisec traffic through the system to a screeching halt unless you paid a toll.
Someone on here might have an archived link to the full story. Eventually a bunch of GM-driven "Navy" battleships arrived and wiped em all out, and there was much gnashing of teeth over whether or not the GMs should interfere in such a way. It was really kind of exciting.
But anyway, as far as I know nothing has changed, and Faction Navy ships can still be killed.

I'm curious...will Concord interfere if you attack a Navy vessel?
