These days 95% of all stories, movies, showes, etc related to the undead concept are nothing more than highschool quality crap. We need another Blade saga, at the very least to mix things up again.
You're describing the trope called Stalker With A Crush, which isn't specific to Vampire Movies at all.
And as for the guy who said that the negatives of being a vampire should be explored, sorry but I've had enough about characters *****ing because they're Cursed With Awesome.
And Vampirism as a metaphor for homosexuality? Err...it can be I suppose. So were mutants in the first two X-Men flicks. The 3rd didn't follow the trend and is a good example of how it's really a case by case basis what Vampirism can be used as a metaphor for. -- Distortion| Distortion 2 Preview |

Vampires in White Wolf's World of Darkness are cursed with an insatiable desire for fresh human blood, an evil split personality that wants to feed and kill, and cannot ever see the sun again. They are also all emo-goths who continually and justifiably angst about their horrible unlives. They are probably THE best incarnation of the modern gothic vampire. _________________

Dude totally, I was at a bar one time and was talking to this chick. We got along pretty well and the night was early so I invited her to a house party I knew about up in the Hollywood hills. She agreed so I asked her to follow me. She then offered to come with me in my car stating "I can just come get it later, or in the morning." Jackpot, I thought. This one was in the bag.
We went to the party and she excused herself to go to the bathroom while I picked up a couple of drinks. Maker's Mark for me and dirty martini for the lady. We went outside and shared a smoke on the terrace while we sipped our drinks. I was holding her close to me using the cool night air as a bargaining chip when she looked down (she was taller than me) and started kissing me. It was a great kiss but I noticed something poking me in my hip. I looked away to see what it was and all of a sudden a tranny jumped out from behind a lounge chair and hit me in the face with it's dong.
So yeah, you can never trust a tranny.
dude you so owe me a new keyboard. ----------------------------------------------- Don't think of it as dying, Think of it as leaving early to avoid the rush |

Hey!? Hey! Hey...? Hey!? Hey.........you know what? Hey. Hey...you know what?
You should go to a Wal-mart, if you live in the U.S. And you should go to the section where they keep the "books" and magazines. And you should see all the vampire themed books. And then you might **** yourself laughing when you realize they're all targetted for a certain female demographic and very poorly written because they're rushed because they're just trying to take advantage of a trend before something else replaces the fickle focus of my fellow countrymen/women.
And then maybe you'll cry when you realize people think it's great stuff. ----------------------------------------------- shin ku myo u

Speaking from experience? now, what else you like to say to your friends? ---
