Hum. This is disturbing. I'll wait more inputs from EVEuni's management, the post made by Kelduum is promising. Anyway, here's my problem. I wrote a (very long) guide and was trying to made it widly available. Maybe adding it in the EVEuni classes could be nice. So I read that : http://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Joining_The_Faculty But I'll never join Ivy League. Let's see a bit further :
Quote:If you are not a member of EVE University, but would like to conduct classes or give special lectures on specific EVE topics, we welcome your participation as a Guest Lecturer. Many of our guest lecturers are experienced capsuleers who are recognised for their in-depth knowledge and expertise in their chosen areas. It is possible for a Guest Lecturer to become a Teacher via the Teacher Induction Programme. We encourage anyone who would like to share their knowledge and insight with our students to step forward and volunteer to be a Guest Lecturer.[...] Cool. I don't see anything about "rights" and "credits". I would be worried about plagiarism, yeah. |

Quote:As far as a charge of plagiarism this may have been something that should have been looked into further so that there was greater understanding. The Uni itself is an institution that thrives on plagiarism. I'm not sure if this has been communicated to you but any content created by Uni members and provided in classes, forum postings or wiki entries is published under a Creative Commons license, and the author has no personal copyright to that material. From http://forum.eveuniversity.org/viewtopic.php?p=468507#p468507 Can someone link me a source of this ? I checked the UNI website and couldnt find anything about the license.
EDIT, found further :
Quote:The purpose of the Uni is the free exchange of information - did the content you consumed as a member, learning how various things worked also have individual attibution? I'm willing to bet that the huge majority doesn't, and the liscence of all content on the wiki is "Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0)" - links on the edit page as well as every page list the license there. For example, I suspect that at least some part of your 'work' includes content or knowledge taken from the UniWiki. http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ Other Rights GÇö In no way are any of the following rights affected by the license: The author's moral rights; I only know French laws, but "deleting the name of the real author to put his own" is not allowed under our moral rights.
And it seems that his real name/email adress were posted by Kelduum. |

Leontyne Gaterau wrote:If anyone mirrored the public record plz send it to me. It was boring, just at the end Kelduum gave his real name, and a random EVEuni director acted like a thug boy "He's red to me and if I see him in low sec I'll kill him and maybe podding him in high sec" etc.
Because EVEuni directors are a major threat. |
