We have a list of Corp thieves and Scammers here http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=603530&page=1, we have various other lists useful to victims and perpetrators alike.
To the best of my knowledge C&P doesn't have a list of Corps that honour Ransoms and those that don't; and i don't mind taking that on as a little project.
Why people choose to honour ransoms or not is not what i would like this thread to address, but rather whom does or does not.
Maybe next time you ask for a ransom you might actually get one, the victim might actually get to escape with an unviolenced boat- isn't it lovely when people play nice?
Or perhaps no-one cares for this. Thats fine, in which case let the thread die.

If your corp. honours ransoms, feel free to post and say so, along with any other information you wish to include. If your corp doesn't always bother asking for ransoms but might accept one sometimes and honour it, let the thread know.
If anyone sees a Corp up here that doesn't honour ransoms, post a rebuttal- along with proof
I will update OP and subsequent place holders as info comes in. If doubt is put upon a Corp details of the accusations and evidence will be included and readers can make up their own mind.
One point to make is that i wont be actively searching out whom will or will not honour ransoms of my own accord, avoiding bias you know

The following Corps aim to accept and honour Ransoms, under the terms they may or may not dictate:
Corp: Neo Spartans
Alliance: None as current.

Correct, as far as hypotheticals go; for who is to say the ransomee will always put a figure out there that is less than a swashbuckling scallywag was going to ask. You have never pointed someone and had a terse '40 million' (or whatever figure) dropped into local or a convo without prompting?
Ransoms are negotiations, not directives someone MUST comply with- even if the other recourse is being popped, or self destructing or ctrl-Q, there are always other options as oposed to paying a ransom.

is the contentious part? Not all Pirates are a well run outfit with guidelines laid down for the terms of a ransom and the conduct of the aggressors following one; i.e. exactly how long the victim remains 'safe', if the ransom is void the moment they leave system etc...

tl;dr Corps that don't habitually ask for a ransom, but might be willing to take one if the victim makes known that he is willing to pay to excape unharmed.

I get what you mean. The difference between blue and yellow is that corps in the former usually ask for a ransom as a matter of course, the latter dont always bother and may need prompting by the victim.
I can easily merge the two, but the distinction is rather important for the Victim- and this thread is as much for those who find themselves at the mercy of pirates as it is something to stimulate the flow of ransomed filthy lucre into pirate coffers.
This the general view? I would rather not get bogged down in such things.

Are you just expecting someone to lie and say "I'll always offer a ransom," instead of saying "I'll offer a ransom when it's reasonable to offer a ransom," which is actually truthful?

Isn't there a thread somewhere that details how to survive being ransomed and what not to do if you want to escape unharmed (if lighter of pocket)? I am sure i have read one in C&P before but i cant find it, if anyone has a linky I'll add it to the OP.

I honestly dont expect people to check this thread, or C&P, during an actual ransom attempt itself.
But,
Those whom have read the thread before will i hope benefit from it: knowing that a corp offering them a ransom is known to not honor them or said victim perhaps finding themselves in a situation with a corp known to accept ransoms (but not always offering them as standard) and brokering a deal to save thier ship.
On the other hand, Pirates that offer and honor ransoms may well benefit from an increased income as word spreads that they will honor a ransom.
Either way, i see no negative consequences associated with the thread, only potential good; aside from me sacrificing an hour or so every few weeks and fending off the occasional failtroll.
