Soz Mittens dear, but even when Goons win something they are still only Goons.

Actually, wow, Goons are very much like lepers. I never noticed that before.
I wonder if leper colonies were like Goonswarm? Sort of like a mini-society that crave to be accepted, but ultimately fearing rejection that would almost certainly result when attempting to integrate in to society at large. This then leading to a sub-culture where they seek to rise in leper status, ultimately becoming arch-leper-in-chief of the combined armed (assuming they hadn't fallen off) leper forces; whose soul aim would be the utter destruction of that which they long to be a part of.
Actually, no, that is silly and unfair.
We have to remember that lepers are real people with feelings.
