Adam C linked this to me on IRC yesterday, looks like at least XMX corp is back in IAC :) Who knows maybe Hachou will bring others in..

Some people were trying to start it up again recently, but it fell through for whatever reasons, I find it pretty unlikely that I'll be back in unless it's for alliance tournament (almost happened last time)

One of my corp members gave this link to me and I feel myself like I need to answer.
Originally by: JohnCrayton What are the chances to reunite all the drunkards of eve back in IAC ?
In short answer NO. Everything has it's begining and it's end. IAC you talking about is dead. You can't rebuild something not exists. Most of ppl who actually founded this alliance and made it as we remember it quit playing long ago, the rest is spreaded all around the universe.
About presence, XMX is a small corp 30 man which is living alone with no blues around. We like to roam around and giving good fights. And we doing it good. AWe puted XMX back to IAC because we like and respect IAC ticker and it's pleasure to make kills under it. And for sure if someday some corp will want to join us in our fun we will already have a place to put them. But it will be never be "rebuilding of IAC". It's will be something new, probably under the same ticker, probably not, I don't know, atm we just enjoying this game as we like.

Nothing is impossible. IAC had a great thing going and I can say for a fact that key players have discussed flying under a shared banner. B.L.A.C.K. was also an attempt to bring some of the competent IAC corps under a new banner.
However, there are some divides between the good pvp corps who once populated IAC space and I don't know if it could succeed without uniting most of them and moving forward as a more elite organization. We had 50 million horrible carebear pyramid scheme corps that were about a week from being kicked when IAC imploded (actually these two events were somewhat related) and many more were essentially ultra-casual (though undeniably fun to play with).
The casual thing works for npc 0.0 but not sov-holding 0.0 UNLESS you have major support from allies. This was the core issue for IAC in my opinion.
It's a bit sad that IAC didn't follow a path consistent with its capabilities. A middle-size alliance needs deep ties with a major power bloc to survive and hold space these days. IAC had become isolated from the RSF/AAA coalition and only made matters worse by provoking the neighbors.
If you look at a group like UNL that has at one point controlled space in multiple regions with a fleet capability of at most 100 pilots in pre-planned prime-time ops it's plain to see that your friends are everything in this game.

Hi Hachou, do my regards to the rest of your corp members. Our time in Catch and the few systems we got assigned to start Liberty alliance in are fond memories.
The day IAC dropped from the map was a day that Eve became a bit less colorfull imho.
Ive recently stepped down as CEO of ELF and intend to visit old friends across Eve with some of my toons, so many fun people, but so little time.. .Hope to be in fleet with you all soon. 07
