Edited by: Native Wayne on 04/06/2006 20:08:54 Are you going to act just like 90% of the other corps who declare on us and sit in Ours or Jita waiting to gank our newbies flying their Ibis and Reapers while picking up new skills to train?
Or are you going to actually come out to Syndicate and Outer Ring and actually fight us.
Considering you have 15 members in your corp and no one has ever heard of you, I think the first choice will be your MO.

Heh at the clueless noob.
Its funny to see how GoonSwarm get so intimidated just because a small 15 member corporation has more quality and dignity than their whole big crappy blob alliance.

I freaking love you guys, Goon ftw! Yeah i shoot at you guys, but its nothing personal and it generaly leads to 50 of them forcing thier way through star gates chaseing me accross 10 systems. Popping goons is like throwing rocks at a bee hive. Anyway, good luck guys. I learned how to rat in 0.0 and got taught the rudiments of pvp by some KARN gankers way back when in syndicate. Scarily good peeps. KARN has a long and storied tradition which Goonswarm now gets to be apart of. Much luck to all involved.

G/l to Karn
My first real Skirmish was with KARN when we lived in Syndicate.
This is a story that turned me into member of a territory loving alliance to a Freedom Fighter (terrorist to some). A pod pilot that believes that space should be open to all and our little arrangement with KARN is a testament to that theory.
As a member with Daredevils I hung around Orvolle while my corpmates mined, traded, produced and missioned in Lonetrek. I had a nice business buying and selling Ospreys with a 25% markup for moving them 3 jumps. I occasionally went into PF-346 and gate camped with some guys, but tbh it did not really do anything for me so I ventured in further in my Caracal and did some NPCing in XYY. I could take out cruiser spawns at this time started shipping stuff into FD for profit.
Some of our corp members then moved to XYY (Apache, Kunck (RKK), The Resistor, Liet Trapp and some other that have since quit playing eve. I was the logistics man. I have never lost an indy in 0.0 . Mind IÆve lost a Lot of other ships. We then Joined a small alliance in syndicate and prospered there for a few months.
First KARN arrived and we harried then killing a few ship and them killing a few of us. Eventually we Napped and they NPCÆed in peace and us likewise.
Then, CA split, out of the ashes emerged Imperium. Guess where they headed, Yes you got it Syndicate and the Outer Ring. They setup corps in various areas of syndicate to quell any dissent. A small corp setup just inside in our Constellation (cant remember their name), but they did not do so well. Our Alliance harried these guys and killed more of them than ourselves. My first encounter was with a ECM ferox and me in a Raven (cruise FoF ftw). I sat at the gate as bait, the ferox engaged me jamming me. Then our tackler jumped in and scrambled him. My fofÆs tore him to shreds
Then the big boys of Imperium arrived at our door step VOFT. A group of 3 VOFT arrived to investigate a red spot on the map. I was in my BB and docked in a station and informed our small waiting party of who was coming and where. I then followed them in. When I jumped into our home system Bilko and another pilot had engaged a scorpion and some other ships. I damped the scorpion and he warped out. He warped straight back and there was my lesson in EW. He locked my BB before I could lock him. Boom went the BB since I was too far from the gate. A noob taught a lesson by the Mighty ex-CA.
Then more of our alliance logged on and the VOFT made the mistake of harrying KARN. Then we had a gang of 8 and held the ex-CA guys down in the system. I went and got another BB. The Imperium guys Camping the Gate in PF-346 responded to distress call from their trapped pilots. More arrived. When they jumped in there was 10 v 8 if I recall correctly. I cant even remember how many kills there was on each side but ex-CA left the field of Battle. A victory short lived. Our small alliance crumbled under a more sustained campaign from Imperium and Our corp folded with Knuck Already in JF and Wilf and Apache following suit. The resister and Liet went off to join Syncore.
Anyway that is my memories of KARN a bunch of good blokes always up for a scrap. Good luck Wraith1

KARN ends war with GoonSwarm
Karn would like to thank Goonswarm for the fun engagements we have had over the last week. You will see a list of stats for the war as provided by www.podbase.com. These stats are estimated so lets not bicker guyz.
I would just like to recall a few moments and quotes from the war. Someone quoted that playing with GoonSwarm is like throwing a stone into a bee hive. I would definately agree with you as we did experience this moment once during the war. Yes we got our backsides Ganked but hey, wot fun it was
We also nearly ended the war with a Freighter kill. It was on Sunday evening one of our KARN pilots was on patrol in his frigate, when a call came over comms that he was just about to engage a GoonSwarm Caldari Freighter. As he engaged the rest of the KARN pilots responded to this alert and headed towards the target system, some Karn Pilots were as far as 21 jumps from target system. Soon a 2nd Karn frigate pilot arrived in system and between these 2 pilots they continued to pound away at the Freighter. Another HAC pilot was 7 jumps away from target system, by this time the hostile freighter was just starting to take on structure damage. It was at this time that a hostile ECM dominix jumped into the system and started jamming and nos'ing our 2 frigate pilots. Our pilots then set about to cycle warp-in and out on the target freighter as to try and keep it pinned down until more KARN support arrived.
This engagement continued for approx 15 minutes, another hostile Maller had jumped into the system, shortly follwed by a KARN HAC pilot. Other KARN pilots we're shortly to arrive at target system. It was at this time that the Freighter then warped from its location. A scan was made but unfortunately the freighter was not to be found. With hostiles still at location, our pilots continued to take them down, the Dominix warped off leaving the Maller to fall victim to our Karn pilots.
It would have been a very nice end to the war but hey, some fish do slip through the net every now and then Once again, thank you to GoonSwarm and we hope to meet again in the future.
KARN LOSSES: 11 Est ISK Loss: 60,742,510
GOONSWARM LOSSES: 134 Est ISK Loss: 853,691,402

I hate to be picky over stats, but those numbers just don't look right to me.
60m for 11 losses? I am looking at podbase, and I count approximately 10 Inties, one AF, and 2 HACs to Goonswarm + Allies, all T2 fitted. I would love to see where you are getting your info from, because it looks plain wrong to me.
The kill total works out at around 6.5M a ship, which sounds a little high but I don't know how many BS's you killed for the average to increase.
The best comparison is be to compare kill/losses by ship type. Can you get that info for us to look at? Out of those 130 kills, how many BS, how many Frigs, how many HACs etc. That way people can look at the raw data and make up their own minds who came out on top.

As I have explained and will explain once more for you my freind. These stats are taken from www.podbase.com. If you did your homework a little more and go through all the killz, being very precise, u will reach the figure I have reached. The stats are taken from GOONSWARN and our losses are based on being killed by GOONSWARN only as we were at war with them.
If you would care to check the 134 killz individually as I have, you will find a little skill book in the cargo hold of one of them which is worth 400 mill I hope that puts your calculations into prospective, and you are truly pardened for being picky

You're ruining their arguement that no matter how many you kill of them, that the little that they killed of you is worth more then what they lost.
They like to use this excuse alot to claim victory in every situation. Sorta like a crutch for the fact that they are nothing more than a mindless blob of noobs. --------

Indeed they do like to say they lose very little compared to the other ppl fighting them but it's just not true anymore. I know someone from a pvp corp who wont post in the forums but has a corp killboard and it isn't just T1 frigs and cruisers anymore. The majority of the kills were BS's (admitedly T1) but there were also Ceptor and AF as well as the usuall Frigates and cruisers.
The pilots in Goonfleet have stayed past the initial trial period time and are using nicer gear as everyone else does who carries on in EvE and who can blame them. But saying they lose very little in comparison to the damage they inflict is not so anymore.
