2. Couple questions from a newbie to PVP - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
Race doesn't matter. You need skills to fit and fly the ship. Whatever you chose to use, aim for T2 guns on the platform, be able to equip a web and mwd. train armor or shield tanking skills. train supporting skills for fitting more stuff in and...

4. Moving to Level II missions (having troubles) - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Okay where to begin where to begin.. 1.Level IIs should be completeable in a destroyer. Most of them anyway. If you want them to be significantly easier, move to a cruiser. 2. Your ship setup is absolutely abysmal. Do NOT mix gun types. You ha...

5. How do people pirate? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
From my experience, piracy didn't become particularlu fun until I was flying a battlecruiser and could tank sentries for at least a while. If you are relying on finding guys at the belt to kill, you could very well be searching for quite sometime....

6. Surviving (and profiting) in low-sec - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
You really need to stay aligned in belts. With a couple sensor boosters on my battlecruiser, I can lock even frigates before they can align and warp out.

8. Could someone explain how turrets work, nice and simply please? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Turrets are simple. Get within optimal range, have minimum transversal speed with the target, and fire. As long as you can track them and are in optimal you will hit. Optimal range + falloff range = 50% chance to hit, decreasing to 0% chance to h...

Edited by: Arkanstar on 08/02/2008 13:40:14 Or, in the case of those of us from the 'other side of the pond' Monthly Subscription fee is about $15.00 = 10.35 Euros. So if you use Euros you lose more per ship loss!

19. Scan Probing Question... - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
You need to train either Signal Acquistion or fly Cov Ops to reduce the time it takes for a cycle to analyze. Obviously, when the probe times out before your scan is done, it returns no results.

20. Scan Probing Question... - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Signal Acquision and Cov Ops skills reduce the time. Sounds like you are doing exploration probing which has a long base cycle time anyway.
