I did Vexor Mining with 4x Miner II's and only using 4x Hobgoblins in 0.5 and had no problem shield tanking the rats. If you are going to use an Osprey with 3x Miner II's and lets for argument sake had Mining 4 and Astrogeology 4 you would be look...

Thanks for the info, I will give it a shot and see how it goes. I guess no matter what if Im going to get into mining a retriever will not be a bad purchase regardless if I can mine solo in 0.5.

Thanks a ton, thats exactly what im looking for. I dont mind having to use an additional tool just want to be able to warp to a belt and scan for types of materials and not have to hvoer over each roid or click the info on the roid in the scanner ...

Is there a way to upgrade your scanners so that you can see the ore type of the Asteroids that show up on your scanners? Im sure this has been posted before but I couldnt find it. Thanks in advance.
