I'd check with your corp and make sure they aren't all going to be sniper fit, you don't want to be the lonely guy 100KM+ from your corp mates. Try to match their range so you are with your fleet.

Don't use a ship that is known for tanking. You want good bait? Use a cheap mining ship to hold the guy down long enough to get your DPS in. Don't expect your bait to live.
