but the other issue is I have no in-game friends anymore (since having to go solo due to limited game time) so how do I move out as the premise of the game is "don't trust anyone"? "Miners are just shafting the universe..."

I agree with you totally! It just scares me that I may, very reguarly, lose a ship and spend most of my game time just re-equiping etc!! Anyway, my short term goal is to have a tech II fitted BS, insured and with a lot of ISK behind me, then move...

Don't get me wrong - I have learnt a lot from from the forums (especially when I spent 2 weeks training Tactical Shield Maniplulation to lvl5 to then discover I have just made the skill worthless!!) but all the horror stories just now keep me glue...

Thanks guys for the replies - the "bleeding" into the armour makes a lot of sense to me now, and having re-read the info, "Skill at preventing damage from penetrating the shield..." the penny finally drops. It could do with being re-worded differe...
