My advice is...stay away from PURE space... poor neutrals always get killed on sight. And theres always massive amounts of people on. Get your skill points up to par, and then look for a corp/alliance in 0.0 space. I'm not sure if you want to join...

If your ship is out there, people can scan around and see what ships are there... I dont think ships with no pilots disappear..might be wrong, but i doubt it. If you are in a ship however, it will disappear after a certain amount of time.
