I'm a 14 days trial user myself, and I just went to account managment and there is an Extend Trail Account option (yes, Trail, they need to check their spelling )for 19.95$ with 30 days free. So no point creating a new account, just upgrade it.

I think its a bug. I have similar problems, but I noted that one day you could have this error message, and the day after you can sell normally.
