1. PI Rates - in Science and Industry [original thread]
That's just it... I'm barely scraping 40k / hour (averaging about 35k / hour atm) with the 1 hour cycle and it's STILL draining the planet dry. I'm 99% sure I'm not using nuggets, since they gently downgrade around the white hot areas instead of a...

2. PI Rates - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Well, far as I can tell nobody else is using the planet at all (but, granted, I know that the "show other players networks" thing doesn't work quite right). Additionally, I'm trying to use 2-3 hotspots per ECU (3-4 extractors per hotspot). I'm al...

3. PI Rates - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Okay, so... I've been running 2 day 2 hour cycles lately on planets that are supposedly "high volume" on the items in question... and yes, I'm in 0.0 space. None the less, the resources seem to deplete incredibly quickly... I have to ask... what...

4. Why PI is broken - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Thanks to a friendly EvE character, I now know what my problem was... Because I was doing 1 day cycles, my extractor heads were running 30 minute cycles, which were depleting resources too quickly. By moving to a 2 day 2 hour cycle, I now run at ...

5. Why PI is broken - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Oh, I know you can - that's what I actually meant. I had installed and submitted the operation, wrote down the number. Came back today at the end of the cycle, and the total pull was far less than what it said it should be. *shakes head* The ent...

6. Why PI is broken - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Originally by: Tau Cabalander Edited by: Tau Cabalander on 22/02/2011 20:14:25 Last evening I hauled away over 1b in P1 to my hisec processing planets, and I have about a year of POS fuel stockpiled now, so I really can't complain abo...

7. Why PI is broken - in Science and Industry [original thread]
No, the farm analogy is accurate, as you have to pay for the skills, structures, and costs of setting up and maintaining the colony, both in terms of isk and time. Remember, time is not free... And how is it AFK income? Running a half dozen plane...

8. Why PI is broken - in Science and Industry [original thread]
*chuckles at some of the comments* It's amusing... people think it's about making isk or some such... it's the premise of the idea. Think of it this way - if you bought a farm, with fertile ground and took the time to learn how to farm properly ...

9. Chimpanzee needs help with PI extractor - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Did you upgrade your links to handle the increased load? One of the problems with the new ECU is that with more than, I think, 4-5 heads on it, your link is severely overloaded. I have to upgrade mine 2-3 times just so they can handle the volume.....

10. Why PI is broken - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Edited by: Kittamaru on 21/02/2011 15:45:48 Not only that, but the resources donĘt seem to deplete and recover in any meaningful, or even calculable, fashion. It seems to be entirely random, and even letting a planet sit fallow for two or thre...

11. Why PI is broken - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Okay, so some quick background. Previously with PI, I had 6 planets setup total on my account. Four of them extracted the base materials and turned them into the tech 1 junk. I then exported those four planets to a fifth planet, which took the go...

I need to see what items I can fit on the pos :P I already have that tool for determining fuels :) It's full of win, indeed, but it doesn't help you setup a pos. I need a QuickFit utility... for POS's Please resize image to a maximum of 400 x...

15. Even chance based events bugged - in Science and Industry [original thread]
It is possible to make a truely "random" number using the CPU clock's milisecond timer and an algorythm to randomly generate a percentage based on that. At least, in C and C++ you can... so I assume more advanced programming languages would let you

17. Towable Guns? - in Science and Industry [original thread]
I looked around in both the market and on the forums, but I didn't see much of anything about this: In EVE, are there deployable guns you can bring in on, say, an Industrial ship, then anchor and leave there to guard your buddies and yourself as ...
