You pay CCP for an EVE Subscription through their website. You did not buy it through Steam, thus you are not getting the content provided to you through Steam. Why should you get Steam Trading Cards for a game you did not buy through Steam?

I'm having the same problems. It goes to the splash, then just sits in the task bar. Just got a new Dell XPS M1530, and was looking forward to playing EVE on it, but alas, it doesn't load.
