1381. Hull Classes and Missile Balance, Looking for New Approaches. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Well.. I just expect ships to die when the hull reaches 0% functionality, even if the armor and shields have been maxed for the 10th time around. Simple and stuffs. I don't care if they blow up or not, I just want them to be an utterly neutralize...

Edited by: Lygos on 14/04/2005 20:29:17 Edited by: Lygos on 14/04/2005 20:23:03 Valgis: I think fun is a little subjective. If you had say a 60% better odds of getting a good module, and no upper tier NPCs ever dropped anything below a tec...

1383. Hull Classes and Missile Balance, Looking for New Approaches. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Myko The idea that no ship can completely repair itself will push combat even more towards ganking, which itself is ruining PvP. I don't see this as being the case. I believe most now will be able to avoid gank camps ...

1384. Hull Classes and Missile Balance, Looking for New Approaches. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
This could constitute another little boost to frigs in the absence of missile changes: It'd be kind of interesting if we could recieve EW and propulsion health as well. Since EW is a hit and miss thing, it'd be interesting if we now had EW or p...

1385. Hull Classes and Missile Balance, Looking for New Approaches. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Well, the only other objection that will innevitably be raised about a 50% cap is from shield tankers who would consider it another favoring of armor tankers. Unless of course, the shield recharge rate remained untouched. To be honest, I don't hav...

1386. Missille Idea - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Edited by: Lygos on 14/04/2005 07:16:35 I had been toying with some models that related damage to ship mass. The thinking being that the impact was a disruptive one, the relative inertia of the components of the ship would produce relative she...

1387. How do I buy something that is not on the market - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Try a different region. Also, you can screen your missions before you accept them to a certain extent. In the first case to buy more time for yourself. Also, some say you can turn down a mission after a certain number of hours without penalty.

Agents occasionally handing out BPCs instead would actually be pretty interesting. Starbases would need some love to cope with the higher demand but with the less stable industrial forecasts.

Edited by: Lygos on 14/04/2005 04:09:56 Scamming will actually become a more professional uh.. profession. It will become a more acceptable lifestyle that becomes less well published as it no longer arouses community ire. People won't mind any...

1390. Hull Classes and Missile Balance, Looking for New Approaches. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Originally by: Herko Kerghans Solution 1 (simple to implement, not so sure about balancing issues): Putting a cap on armor & hull repairers. As in, you can never fix armor/hull above (70%? 80%?). For 100% repairs you need to spend isk rep...

Edited by: Lygos on 14/04/2005 13:02:23 Well, pilots in space does serve some purpose. It (allegedly) assists and promotes fighter encounters, legitimized conflict, and uh.. blob maneuvering. Now it just means that squads can't deploy warp...

1394. Map your views on this 30 min - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
