i hade the exact error, my machine rebooted all the time, only when i played EVE. i changed my gfxcard from a geforce3 TI 500 deluxe to a lousy geforce4MX and now it works fine, but my old gfx card was much better ingame (has a reason..) so if any...

i just downloaded the new nvidia drivers and also got a "white" loginscreen, i solved the problem by just reinstall dx9 and windowsupdate after (the security fix for dx9)
