OOOH! I get to answer one! When you're docked, look up in the far upper right hand corner. You'll see a blue !. Click that, and it'll show you your contacts. Find a good level 2 and off you go! Hope that helps.

Shuttles are.... shuttles. AFAIK, you can't put anything on them. They are for transportation only.

Depends how long you're planning on staying. I'd say if you're gonna be around for more than a few months, start out getting learning up asap. Other stuff learned faster = win imo. But I'm a total newb, so take it with a grain of salt.
