A bit late to the table but another possibility is setting Wine's Windoze version to Vista or later. Basically leave Wine set to WinXP for reliable function is the rule of thumb. ----- The Eve Client - A Love Story - The single biggest fix CC...

I suspect you had struck the packet loss bug. Where when a portrait fails to load then Eve bombs. I think this was a Wine bug that was fixed a couple months back just after the new auto-loading barbie and ken portraits were introduced. ----- Th...

I'm currently using Wine 1.2.2 and have had no problems installing and running http://content.eveonline.com/evepremiumpatch247655-259851_m.exe and sound works too. Also don't have vcrun2008 either. Only thing I do from vanilla Wine is add fonts...

Edited by: Solbright on 19/05/2011 00:01:02 Originally by: Avrien I get temporary freezes and occasional lockups. I also get a lot of CTDs. Geforce 8800 is excellent choice for functionality in Linux. Eve crashes should be non-exist...

28. Resizing windows beyond their limits - in Linux [original thread]
I definitely remember Eve's windows having a minimum size limit in the past. Have to go back a while though. I doubt I'd be able to find a Wine version that still runs current Eve while providing the correct behavior. I just popped around to a fr...

29. Containers and Access to their Content - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]

32. Resizing windows beyond their limits - in Linux [original thread]
Originally by: Kaliba Mort I think it may have something to do with Wine not filtering inputs, while windows checks if window size makes sense. Making a big assumption there. Behavior is likely just the same on Windoze. After all, Direc...
