sorry for the late reply, i found the problem, my hardrive has gone bust :( it seems eve crashing were the first signs of an illnes thanks for the help anyway guys glad to know theres people out there willing to help :)

well i tried with: basic acceleration= no good no sound= no good updated all drivers and tried some old ones= no good i have set the prioritory of eve to high in task manager and now i can play for around 5-10 mins and then it crashes again
