If you inspect any spaceship commmand skill it shows " increase skill with (random ship)", but wich are the real advantages to train those skills? is it only to pilot the ship or another hidden bonus?

Try an Hurricane. I have low skill points too but that ship is very powerful for level III missions and it is only 10 millions more expensive. I use 720mm artillery + heavy missiles /armor tank and dont have any important problems doing level III ...

Is this ship viable for pvp? I am pretty newbie in EVE but i would like to start "solo pvping" a bit. Is the hound a viable ship to make ambushing tactics in low sec or 0.0 against frigates,cruisers and mining ships? Thanks.
