actually the pirate had ransomed my friend in a belt pre patch and was utilising the new opportunities. the ransom he was asked for was the exact ransom he had asked for before.... my friend had paid, and not been popped. the mission invader also...

Personally I am thinking of taking a ship which can tank the exact reverse of the mission into it then taking my time until I get player rats look at what I am doing, tool up for what they assume my resistances and damage are, then warp in and fin...
