Ore theft compliments macro mining very well IMO. Maybe there needs to be some direct hauler <-> mining barge transfer skill / module / etc.

What about a view that dosen't use any 3d graphics at all - just the WIMP GUI elements, or maybe just text. Useful for managing things instead of shooting things.
