Hi Darkwing Dan,
I understand your frustration on this. But since we cannot promise a delivery for an estimated date, because it is an estimation, we rather keep the estimate to ourselves until it is ready. We will however let you all know when as soon as possible when it is ready.

I do hope the above doesn't warp you back under your CCP terror rock of silence. That is absolutely not my intention. Please * do * keep us informed. Just don't mix messages like mixing the above with 'we hope tomorrow' with 'we cannot promise a delivery' stuff.
Just tell us that every bug you fix on Sisi for the PC client raises new challenges for the Mac client, which in sort could mean that the Mac client will always be behind the PC client, so putting much time in fixing the Mac client will be a waste until most PC client bugs are fixed and then you can fine tune the Mac client accordingly.
The above is an excellent example of us truly believing in something which didn't end up becoming reality. We were hoping to give you the client we wanted to deliver, but that turned out not to be the case, so we kept it to ourselves for a longer time. If I keep making the "Hoping for tomorrow!" you'll probably become even more frustrated than if I would just say that we cannot promise a release date at this point so we're going to go with "Soon" and "when it is ready" until we can.
CCP terror of rock silence? What?

That is a promise that you can hold me too.
Does it have to be a dev from eve and does it have to be an accurate eta?

New installer should be available shortly. It checks out in house, but I'm having a second check run externally to ensure theres no problem this time. Warning: its ~2.8GB.

Hi all,
The client you have been waiting for today will not be available today. We discovered some problems and we will keep it in-house until these have been resolved.
I'm sorry. We're still aiming to release it as soon as it is ready and before Apocrypha is released.

please make valid DMGs or increase your download server speed (0.5MB/s is sad) so i don't get disappointed after waiting forever
We use limelight which has a file distribution network with servers all around the world. If you're experiencing low download speeds you need to contact your ISP. We do not limit the download speed.

I've been really busy and haven't really had time to spread my love around the Mac forum. We have been working hard on the mac client and Apocrypha over the last couple of months. I hope that I will have more time to answer questions and concerns once Apocrypha is deployed. And I also hope that our efforts show in the new client.
On the patch, we accidentally the whole pat... Erm, I mean. We uploaded a patch which did not have the latest fixes in it, we have now removed it and going to put up a new patch which does.

Originally by: Sathiran Is there an expected timeline for this new patch? Because I would hate to download it and it be DT already, like it has been ever since the beta came out. I would like to test it.
It should be here within a couple of hours. Downtime is 7:30am - 9:00am GMT, so I don't think you'd have to wait that long.

they could have made a patch for those who downloaded the sisi Apocrypha Client to make it work in TQ....
No. Singularity is a test server, Tranquility is a production server. Those two shouldn't, don't and will never mix.
I will look at this thread later and reply to all of your questions and concerns. I understand and agree with you that the public testing wasn't as smooth as it should have been. But some of the issues you have raised in this thread are things that happen because it is the test server and a testing environment. I hope to answer, if not all, most of it in detail later. Our aim is to make sure that future public testing is easy to access and reliable.
