Well, there's really no guarantee in a bigger ship. You could use warp core stabs for a pure travel fit. A large camp will still overpower you. You could nano/istab your ship to the gills, which will make you lockable even faster but get you into warp quicker. You could try fitting a cloak and getting up to speed under cloak, then drop it and warp to a spot.
But in the end you're better off going around or using a ship suited for the task- a covops, recon or blockade runner.

change setup when moving. 1-2 WCS and alot of i-stabs. Still you might be caught by a HIC, so best to have a scout in a frigate or something.

Here is what you do. As soon as you jump in and see the gate camp you ask ô How muchö. Do not uncloak. If they give you a price you can live with you ask ô Who gets the money.ö. Then you uncloak and pay them before you aline and warp out.
If you donÆt like the amount, you uncloak aline the gate you just came trough. You then ask ôWho gets the moneyö before they notice what you are doing. Move at best speed back to the gate. Hopefully they will be to over joyed at what they thing is there new found wealth that they will not notice until to late.
If they blow you up after you pay or before you get back to the gate, you come back here and troll.

1. Use a scout. 2. Check map/stats for any activity particularly ships killed in the last hour. The idea is to determine where the hotspots are. 3. Become familiar with the region you are traveling and know the usual hotspots, for example Amamke, Rancer, etc.
If you are trying to solo then I'd recommend using a ship that has more survivability in terms of running camps i.e. faster to warp or faster in general.

write a dozen lines of smack talk in local, that will work as a distraction maneuvering, then warp out.
Option #2: stay on high sec

Yes, and quite well.
I would also suggest you look at the star map, filter by ships killed in the last hour. If the system you're about to jump into is glowing big and orange or red... find another entrance. Seriously it just takes a few minutes.

Very yes. But the bigger the ship the harder it is to pull off--an Improved cloaking device really helps.

Wait 28 seconds and burn back to the gate. Half the time the whole km hungry gang will aggro and your inertia will still bring you back to the gate. They won't be able to follow.
Then do ..|.. in local and jump back through.

Edited by: Psiri on 18/02/2009 05:57:44 Make an insta-warp before hand. Jump into system, travel 200km with a mwd straight ahead. Should the gate be camped next time u head in, just warp to your insta-warp (requiring near zero alignment) before heading elsewhere. Other than that nanofibers are great.
If u do not have an insta bookmark, warp to the star object requiring the least alignment. Good campers will sometimes have chosen a gate where you're facing the wrong way entirely, in that case you're pretty ****ed.
If you get pointed, try to run back to gate as quick as you can or if you're fast enough try to outrun them.
EDIT: Oyea, like Poast is saying wait 30 secs or you won't be able to warp as soon as you reach the gate. In fact sometimes it's worth to wait for near the full cloak duration, sometimes another target jumps in and the campers will be preoccupied trying to tackle that one instead.

It doesn't matter to what you warp when jumping through a gate, you enter warp at same time.
Then remove all the option which requires you to have an alt, or would take 20 hours to make 20 jumps (that would be scouting ahead every jump in a shuttle), and then you got imo 3 options:
1. MWD + Cloak trick 2. Fitting inertia stabs and pray you allign fast enough 3. (overload) mwd and get back to gate.
Personally i don't really like option 2 in a BC. I suppose option 1 works fine (in 0.0 it doesn't), and i got personally good results with option 3, where overloading is really handy. ---------------------------------------------
