hehe ok
step 1 copy your folder to another location
step 2 download the test server patch at patch
step 3 selete the right client your using then download it
step 4 add this patch inside your copy of eve client then run it step 5 click next into it starts to download an install
step 6 load client an enter your password loool then play
You do not need to add any ip address's to the shortcut on desktop it will automatic connect to the testserver because you patch it already
HAVE FUN ^^

Ok, so maybe I am missing something...I have the classic version and copied the folder over. But I went to download the patch and there is not a test server patch for the classic tranquility 75883 build? The latest says that it is 72263?!?!?....should it work without patching it then?

Quoted from the new build sticky up above. These should work currently, but I won't update this post to reflect newer builds, so be sure to check the stickies up above if you notice this post later. _

I have tried to patch with the 75883 - 81170, but it says that I have classic and cannot patch with premium. Does not work.

OK I fgured it out
Right all who use "Classic EvE" forget about it. The new expansion doesnt use Classic
So
Go to the download pages and upgrade from classic to premium. This file is about 600 meg.
When the file is downloaded go to your current eve Classic so Right click on start (for XP users) Left click explore go to your c drive locate your program files there you will have CCP or EvE Copy this folder and put it somewhere
So thats your back up done Now run the install of eve classic to premium wait wait God it takes ages lol Ok once its dont it will ask you to launch eve Do it login to eve as normal Now this is the problem. If you have Shader 1.0 it wont work so remember the new expansion only takes 2.0 If you managed to login and can see your spaceship in the hanagr or you pod in space from the last time you tried running from a pirate and crashing your system you will therefore not need a new graphics card or a new laptop. Obviously if this did fail you need to delete your copy of eve and put you saved copy back where you found it and cry alot with the timer going down for March 10th. PS Ill have your stuff if you cant run eve after the 10th
So there you have it the install of premium with basic graphics on eve. NOW!! Singularity
Make a new folder on your C Drive call EvEtest or somthing like that Copy the folder that you backed up originally and place in this folder Run eve classic to premium again but this time change the path using the browser option to your new evetest folder wait wait yes its a big file what do u expect Ok its installed now go into your evetest folder and make a shortcut copy of eve.exe. rename first to EvEtest or singularity and cut and paste onto your dest top Now right click on the new shortcut go to properties and change the path to include at the end /server:87.237.38.50
ok that and run singularity wait in the main screen and dont try to log on at update will apear asking you to install it say yes this will include a smalk 900kb file. When it runs it will ask you to install a 1.4gb file. Install it now go do some shopping. buy pizza entertain the missues (she does need it sometimes) When its back run singularity It will say unknown cos its down alot lately but when its up hey youll love it
Please note I did this method on a laptop running at least shader 2.0 with an onboard chipset. So for all you people out there thinking oMFG what am i to do.
Check your graphics are up to date aswell as your DirectX9
