You biggest flaw was going in with a huge-ass sig radius BS with no support, and hoping for profit. Which I would think is intended, even for the absolutely easiest WH's. Next time, try something with 90%+ resists in a small package with tons of dps, and come back tell us how that went for you. I had no probs doing similiar spawns in my Abso, with BSs toping out at 500-600 dps, which a single repper could easily keep up with (and I had 2 fitted).
On the other hand, a pvp gang of 2-3 players would have done the same thing to your CNR, even 2-3 cruisers would have, meaning, it wasn't the fault on the NPC end of things ;)

I hope there is a way to tell which security the exit system takes you to. Otherwise im not going into W-Space because if the exit, in which you secure your eventual spoils is not semi-safe (IE leading to 0.0 or lowsec) then it's nopth worth it for me.

Highly depends on the Type of Sleeper spawn. First we done yesterday would have downed your absolution in under 20 Seconds(that was how long a Mega lasted that was fitted for dualrepp + Gank), alpha striked a Cruiser sized T2 Ships after we where able to stable RR it against the DPS, we thinked they switched and than a Alpha killed it in one go.
We done better in the 2. try, gooing with a full RR gang(20+ Large Reps for well over 5k DPS Tanks on the ships), 4 BS, 4 Marauders, Logistic, Drake(that luckily didnt get primaried). Still I lost over 10k Armor(Fit at least one Plate even on BS) with 70+ Resists till the RR locked and brougt my Tank back.
Combat Phantasmata Missile belonging to Sleeper Battleship hard 1 hits you, doing 1050.5 damage. That how it was for me.

If you go into wormhole space from hisec it will generally take you to easier space. Judging by the NPC names, you managed to find one of the exceptions to that guideline

I just want to take this opportunity to applaud this sort of "nothing is certain" game design. People get used to "if I do X, Y will happen with 100% certainty" rules in gaming, and things get tedious fast. Always having the odd chance of an unexpected result keeps things exciting and prevents min-maxers from falling into boring comfortable patterns.
I've advocated for more uncertainty in EVE's loot table, for the same reason. If there were a 1 in 10,000 chance to find a piece of faction loot (or a big honking proximity-detonated bomb) in every NPC wreck, people's looting behaviors would be much more complex and interesting. ------------------ Ironfleet.com |

You can make profit on sisi?
Quote: Which I would think is intended, even for the absolutely easiest WH's. Next time, try something with 90%+ resists in a small package with tons of dps
mmm i used faction resistance hardeners so no 90%+ across the resistances more like 75-90%
Quote: and come back tell us how that went for you.
It's not the point, the point i am making here i entered from .8 and got shredded in seconds! My bet is that you cannot even enter the wormhole with an big enough fleet to kill that spawn since .8 will not allow you to enter with caps. Furthermore believe me this spawn wouldn't even be tackled by 5-6 bs. even if they could jam or whatever.
This where 22 ships the hard kind off sleepers, entered from .8 in an single location, i don't mind loosing my ship it's sisi you basicly can't loose ships, just wanted to know if they had an weakness vs some kind off cruise missiles i fully expected to loose my ship anyway so no biggy.
Like the dev said you managed to find an hard spawn in highsec, we'll this spawn will be unbeatable if left as such on TQ.
Quote: I had no probs doing similiar spawns in my Abso, with BSs toping out at 500-600 dps, which a single repper could easily keep up with (and I had 2 fitted).
simulair spawns? lemme check i made screenshots
3 sleepless warden (bs) 2 sleepless keeper (bs) 8 emergent warden (frigate) (web/warp scrammers both in most cases) 4 awakened warden (cruiser size) 6 awakened sentinel (cruiser size)
dps on me during that period with atleast 80% resists around 3000/4000 per second.
your absolution would have melted in 20 seconds too, on this spawn even if you had the best mods on it.

While I appreciate your point and am getting tired of people treating these WH's like lvl 4 missions....you are saying you took on 4 BS, 9 cruiser and 9 frig gangs alone...? In your abso?
I realize the Abso is smaller, but it's not THAT much smaller.

A pirate will often tell a newb carebear who complains about dying, 'if you don't want to get shot at, don't go to losec.'
Hehehe ... some of the posters here make me realize that wormholes could be the reverse to that theology. If you don't want to accidentally stroll into hisec, don't go into a wormhole.

we went to a system from Balle, 0.5, the 'anomolies' seemed reasonable to handle.
A few were x2 frigates + x2 Cruisers. I was able to solo these in my Proteous and hold my tank, but the second wave was no way doable on my own.
But we were able to kill most everything with a small group of battleships.

I can confirm that wh's tell you where they end (sort of). If you click info, it will tell you if it enters high sec, low sec, null sec or unknown (more wh space). I'm rather glad it says this, as I'm a flashy red pirate .

AFAIK it says in the wormhole description what type of space it leads to (at least I saw null sec (0.0) and unknown (w-space) in those descriptions).
The wormholes are 2-way like stargates... so yes, you land next to the wormhole at the other side which leads you back where you came from (provided the wormhole doesn't collapse behind you due to time or mass restrictions )
