THE STAR FRACTION led by JADE CONSTANTINE on the other hand are an elite PvP alliance that has won wars against Goonswarm in the past and proved to be better at PvP by being very good at EvE-Online alliance tournaments.

I joined the game only a couple months ago, and I was really upset with how much animosity I saw in the game and on the forums. I didn't really understand why, and to be honest, I still don't understand why. Nonetheless, I'm always respectful to people in game, and I try to be as polite and inviting as I can. Sure, eve is all about sandbox gameplay, metagaming, and the sort, but that doesn't stop me from trying to put a smile on someone's face. Oftentimes when I'm soloing in my rifter I'd name my ship "g.f., enjoy the loot. :)", so that anytime someone pops me (which is happening less often!) they get to see my friendly message congratulating them. Sometimes I throw exotic dancers in my cargohold for even greater comedy! There was one time when I was alone with this red in local. I was in a rifter, he was in a crow. We chased each other around for a bit before I managed to agress and web him at a gate. When I got him bleeding into structure there was a gate activation and his buddy in a hurricane jumps through and instapops me. It wasn't an 'honourable 1v1' or whatever, it was just playing the game the way it was meant to be played. As they were locking in my pod I jested at how he "was lucky :P", to which he retorted "I HAVE NO HONOR! :P" just before I explode. He later sent me 10mil isk because my character was a month old and because it was fun as heck. (he later told me that yeah, he was pretty lucky that his friend was one jump out) I don't really know where all these misconceptions about goonfleet arose from, but my short existance among goons have taught me that they're probably the nicest people you can ever meet. They gave me isk to buy skillbooks, the cheaper t1 ships are given away so I can learn how to fight, and all they ask in return is that I socialize and help the swarm achieve their goals, no matter how small the contribution. It's probably been the most rewarding experience I've ever had in a game. Then there's our allies! The generous give and take of commodities has been astounding. The amount of work they put into the alliance is only rivaled by how much goons give back to them. Regions, BPO's, fuel, complexes, towers, outposts, supercaps, everything is a gift and we give back and forth on a regular basis. I use to think we were trading things, but only recently did I learn that we just give that stuff to each other because we can! (Oh, you're interested in piloting a mothership? Here, take mine for a spin! Like it? Keep it! I actually don't fly it much anyway.) We yak in teamspeak, jabber, and it's really fun to exchange perspectives on a lot of 0.0 politics. So I don't know why everyone fights, or why because I have "Goon" in my name that I'm some baby molesting marxist, but frankly I don't care. I'm having fun in eve among the nicest people in 0.0, and as long as I'm nice to them I can't imagine any of that changing in the course of my Eve career. That, and I can't wait to start flying hurricanes.
