it's a simple bloody courtesy. repeating the whole "no sense of movement" thing and complaining about it as if it's already been deployed live to TQ is just. plain. stupid.

Your logical reasoning astounds me, really, it does. If we don't let CCP know we don't like an effect, how are they meant to correct it before release. Please, before you try and flame someone, at least make sure your argument is watertight, or at least isn't like a wet paper bag.

Another problem with the effect is that it stops making effects too soon. Again and again on the test server, I think I'm at my destination and it takes me awhile to realize I still have a distance to go. The ending trip seems to take forever without it seeming like you are moving.

i dont wanna start a rant here.
but - erm, why not just let CCP get on with it - instead of saying "OMG THE NEW WARP EFFECT SUX!" is just not really helping them do their job..
Explain in detail why you dislike the warp effect, and then explain how you would want a NEW warp effect to look like (no i want the new one to look like the old one, ccp are trying to make the game look better)

CCP guys, seriously, you have SM 3.0 now, you have motion blur, why to play with lame lightning and water when you have MOTION BLUR effects at your disposal ? You can make a nice distortion ripple when entering and exiting warp, the warp tunnel can be purely made from particles and Motion blur, you can even distort the picture, so it looks like you are traveling in a compressed time and space.
