Would be nice that there was a skill to train wich enables a pilot to interrupt his ships warp drive while in warp. That would have him drop out of warp wich would be either penalized in a timer that prevents him going into warp again or costs him a great deal of his capacitor energy to aply this emergy stop action. The skill level of this warptunnel collaps skill could reduce either the time restriction per level or reduce the need of the capacitor energy to stop his warp.
I suggest that some of the warp skills should be already trained to acceptable levels before this one can be trained.

The way the game works is to make the net sync easier. Instead of loading where you are in real time, the server knows you left here at 00:00.576, you will be there at 00:01.152. That way the server knows where you will be going and can prepare everyone ahead of time. I can't see this working with the current mechanics.
Perhaps a better idea would be a Skill say...
Warp Drive Control
Prereq - Warp Drive Op V
Allows the pilot to stop his ship even farther than normal from a gravity well. Lvl 1 - 250km Lvl 2 - 500km Lvl 3 - 1 AU Lvl 4 - 5 AU Lvl 5 - 10 AU
This way the server still knows where you will end up when you initiate warp.

I like both of those ideas (not sure about how implimentable they are - but I like 'em) ~ Santiago Fahahrri Galactic Geographic |

Perhaps level V of the skill should drop you out at 15AU -- outside the range of shipboard directional scanners.

What's the point of warping then in the first Place? Please enlighten me...

Advanced Warp Drive Operation Allows a pilot skilled in the use of warp systems to designate warp endpoints using the solarsystem map. Plox? Probably be (50^level)*10 Km from bookmarks, planets etc, in a circle, thereby allowing us to warp beyond the outermost planet etc of a system. Which would be awesome. --- SWA was here IAC is a loser |

It's a warp 'tunnel'. What are you going to do, dig through the tunnel walls mid-warp?
The start and end points are decided when you enter warp, so there's no way to change it (unless done at the end point through warp bubbles).

I like it. So you are happily minding your business in a belt when I warp and aggress you. You friends try to save you but warp in just as you explode. They start targeting me but;
Here comes the cool part: I warp towards planet 1. Since they donĘt know if I will use a handbrake they wont even bother chasing. Combine this with cloaking and I just locked down entire system all by my self, got a kill and made 10 people waste time chasing, scanning and camping me in. I wonder if you are one of those people who also things gate camping is ruining the game.

well, how about a fleet with a HIC somewhere between 2 much used jumpgates? when you know a red is inbound, warp to the nextgate, handbreak halfway on, warp the rest of the fleet to you and kill the bastard when he tries to warp to the next gate.... mighty cool idea if i say so myself :-)

No. A bubble has to be 1) on grid with the ending point of the warp and 2) in line with it. also, if the red jumps into system, warps, you go to the next gate and put the bubble up, his warp path is already determined - he's already arrived at the gate, regardless if your bubble is up or not.
Secondly, one guy? oh how low your expectations are. you should try solo camping with a drag bubble, it's the funnest thing in eve.

One problem I see is interceptors, wich - well, couldn't intercept you anymore if you can just stop anywhere. You would have to be not able to warp as a penalty for some ..dunno, 5 mins, so your enemy can bring in a prober. Otherwise, you'd be uncatchable.
You can have that right now by having safespots in the system. This is a better mechanic since it rewards those prepared and having put some effort into it.
