This stuff usually doesnt work. Unreal Tournament is a great example. Once a fanstastic FPS game and then they realeased 3 new games under that franchise with the goal to make them more casual and newbie-friendly. the latest result gotta be the worst fps game ever made. from top to flop. all it takes is some dudes from marketing deciding they should make more money by catering to new target groups.
