Thanks mxzf for your reply post.
It is without a doubt that some people will like the new hull but what about those that like it the way it is?
Why is there not an option for the old ship to still be available?
They changed the way the velator looked - and I did not say anything (the new look sucks imo)
They are going to change the way the stealth bomber looks - I cannot say anything without at least raising an objection
Next think you will know is that they are going to change the way Nyx looks... |

This is pretty much the biggest reason behind the change to the SB models. Also... the new model is the reason I bought a Nemesis after a long time... it looks SMMMEEEXXXXXYYYYYYY!!!! /obligatory fairy voice

The Nemesis is extremely cool and only for that I might consider flying it.
The Hound, which is the one I'm using now, looks horribly, but the new model improves it a bit.
Win-win.
Are they going to change anything else but the looks? I trained for the Hound exclusively because of the frustration that is fitting a decent Nemesis. |

I happen to love the new model, personally. I don't even have much use for a Nemesis but once this new model gets implemented I'll probably be buying one just for the sheer awesome factor. |

I think OP is the only person I've noticed who doesn't like the new stealth bombers. I think the new ones look awesome. New Nemesis model makes me actually want to buy one, just so I can look pretty. And the Manticore looks cooler as well. Purifier barely looks any different and the Hound... Heh, it's noticeable I guess. |

At fanfest i had a little chat with the CCP devs responsible for the new stealth bomber models.
Appearantly the Nemesis and Manticore where made first after they decided they'd redo them, the other two did not yet receive such attention.
Rest assured, those WILL get updated (and more futery pewpew) looks. |

I still stand by my original post and wish they were not upgraded...They are perfect the way they are...
I am glad that someone posted the reason for the upgrade (missile launchers)...
There should be a way to have both worlds...or maybe CCP just doesnt care about the little guy enough to ask them what they would like... |

Yeah because some some small generic looking fins are better than shark fins. You're taste is lacking. Hopefully the person that said the Purifier and Hound were not yet done was getting a true scoop from the devs. The Hound as it is is beautiful. The proposed new hound is boring. They need to revert back to a dorsal fin.
Also, more importantly, I hope they are improving the agility on the Nemesis and some on the Purifier. I think they got rid of whoever the idiot dev was that would design ships and slots layouts with overdone rp-ing considerations. These ships do not tank. there is no reason to say Gallente and Amarr should have more armor and therefore less agility. The armor and shield stat variations between these ships are minuscule. And noone sane is trying to tank them for a standup brawl.
Same thing was done with the transport ships. The dev team or whoever was running it thought blockade runners would tank. I posted that lows would only ever be filled with cargo expanders or agility/speed mods. But the dev that responded said that racial bonuses would be applied, and stupidly continued to give the Viator "-5% armor repairer duration per level"  No wasted bonus there no sir. Not that the shield boost bonuses of the Minmatar and Caldari BRs weren't a waste either. But at least with those one could use them without harming the performance of the ship's role. |

Old Nemesis is one of my favorite looking hulls, but CCP did an awesome job on the new hulls, and I have to say the new Nemesis is now my favorite hull. All the other stealth bomber hulls look way better then their old versions as well... The Purifier could be a bit better though. |

If you like the nemesis hull that much, thats fine. However, there is the tristan you can fly as much as you want, it looks exactly the same.
As for the new nemesis model... i can see people flying this just to look awesome. It doesn-¦t just make you asplode, but makes you burst into flames from sheer EXCELLENCE!!!

Now that you will be able to see the new missiles as well as bomb launchers, they had to redesign them in order to be able to fit those things on the stealth bombers. It wouldn't have worked with the old models. |

I'm thinking they might look kind of dumb with the (six?) missile launchers attached. I would have made it so each bomber can only mount one launcher and fire one missile at a time, but each missile deals 3x the damage. Then I'd incorporate a launch tube into the hull of the ship itself.

Just got on the test server.
Purifier- Liked the vertical better. New version looks like a slug . Not sure if that is even V3?
Manticore- Nice change. And stealth Caldari buff as it gets a splash of color that everyone else lacks.
Nemesis- Many will like it. Looks menacing, but a little too Amarr in an odd way imo. BIG PROBLEM still has shittiest agility. You need to fix the agility of the Nemesis, and the Purifier to a lesser extent.
Hound-  CCP, PUT A DORSAL FIN BACK ON IT AND ALL IS WELL. DO IT NOAW

Because as we all know torpedoes require external launchers.
Oh, wait, no, they don't. They've been fired from internal tubes or just chucked over the side of the ship since they were invented in the late 1800s. I'm not sure why CCP feels the need to make all missiles battery-mounted in the first place. Yes, modern fighter planes and destroyers have deck/wing mounted batteries, but SBs are supposed to be analogous to submarines. |
