Is the lvl of the skill the way to increase RP/day ?
If i tell an agent im taking my research some place else does that mean im just telling him to get lost ;D .
Oh and when i talk to one of my agents i get an e mail saying (Our research has been fruitful, but I've encountered a snag and our research has been halted.) and he asks me to contact him. what does this mean.

Yes. By having higher skill in the area being researched you get more RP/Day. Level 5 skill with maximum quality level 4 agent is the bizniss, but rather long train for mediocre result.
Pretty much. Means you free up the 'slot' and can start work with another agent, remember to cash in any datacores before saying F-Off though.
The mails are flashing nightmare, but essentially meaningless. He is trying to make you come back and run a little mission (usually courier of <10m3) and thus double the RP for the day - up to you if you want to, no negative side-effect if you don't.

Yes, the skill level wil increase RPs/day as will connections and Negotiations.

Yes, and it doenst impact standings or availability of that agent, however you loose any RP's you had with that agent in that field, so its better to cash in RP's before doing this.

Its a way for you to double that days RP's. If you speak to him you will get a mission (minerals/courier) and on completion you get bonus RP's equal to the current Daily rate. You can ignore these mails, as the RP's still accumulate.

thanks alot for teh info, atm i have 4 lvl IV agents in Duvolle avalible to me and i just wanted to get rid of the low end agents. also time to break out and train them skills up an other lvl.

Keep in mind that those "little missions" as well as doubling your RPs for that day actually count as a "proper" missions. If you're interested in storylines every little helps 
If you do decide to pay your research agent a visit now and then - stock up on some Trit - you either get asked for a quick courier run or he'll cry for 9K (for level 4 agent) of Trit. Some rats runsacked his lab or somesuch nonsense...

aye noticed that today about the Trit will bring some wif me nxt time. some tit was charging 15isk for some trit where i was and couldnt be assed going 2 jumps for cheaper stuff ..

Anyone know why one of my research agents giving me a research field bonus of 2 x RP/day? what is this and why are my other R&d agents not attracting the same? any ideas peeps?

Thats because the data cores cost twice as much RP(eg 100rp, instead of 50rps.).

ok thanks. Just one other question. if i increase my standings with the R&D corporation by running missions for it, I.E i increase my standings with Lai dai by say, 7.5 to 9, would that have a direct increase in the R/P per day i would recieve from the R&D agent for the same corp?

No, your standing towards a R&D agent's corp has no effect on the RP/day for that agent. However, training "Negotiations" will give +5 effective quality per level, and "Connections will give +1 effective quality at 3 and +2 effective quality at 5. Raising the effective quality of an R&D agent will increase the RP/day for that agent, but not as much as training the Science skill you're researching to 4 or 5.

Actually, I think your standing towards the corp (or atleast the agent) does affect RP's per day, as I noticed quickly in the early days that my agents RP's would increase a lot despite me not training any research-related skills. All I was doing was courier missions for the R&D agent every day and missioning for other departments within the same corp to raise standings.
