This "aimless" aspect of Eve is both blessing and curse. It's very freeing to be able to do anything you want, but sometimes you just don't want to do anything. I think most vet players (myself included) have had a time when they logged in out of habit alone, sat in corp chat, and logged off. Perhaps take a break for a month or two to try something else. I did. I tried Lineage II, and SWG. Both times, I quickly grew to miss the maturity and freedom of Eve. You play a more traditional MMO, and you can't help but feel restricted by the linear gameplay.
The best advice I can give someone who gets bored because they don't have a goal: take a quick break. Keep your char training, and try another game. I bet 100isk you're back in a week or two. 
Plus, you gotta remember: "Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons. For you are crunchy, and taste good with ketchup."
