Yes, I should've mentioned this  Covert Ops ships and the astrometrics frigates both get strength improvement bonuses of 5% and 10% respectively.
You mean 10% for Covops and 5% for astrometrics frigates, right?
I can't find confirmation for this info anywhere right now, whether it makes sense to use a covops at all to explore W-space (besides not getting ganked so easy with a covops cloak).

Do you have the game 'eve online' ?
If so simply typeing buzzard into market, then clicking the i will find the answer.
Similarly clicking on the variation tab and looking at heron will give you the astrometric frigate %'age.
Iknow its a cryptic ay of disguising such a bonus, but ccp work in mysterious ways

Hiya,
I have a question with regard to the Implants that can be used to boost scanning...
Low-grade Virtue sets give a bonus to Scan Strentgh, with the usual Omega implant giving a set bonus, as is usual.
What I have to ask is did CCP give any thought to this?
The Omega Implant that gives the set bonus takes up slot 6.
Additional Hardwiring implants can be fitted to aid in scanning as well, and Slot 6 can be fitted with Hardwiring - Poteque Pharmaceuticals 'Prospector'PPF series which gives 1%, 3% & 10% bonus to reduction in scan deviation. However another set of Hardwirings is also available for Slot 8 - Poteque Pharmaceuticals 'Prospector' PPH series which gives 1%, 3% & 10% bonus to scan strength.
The Omega stops you from using slot 6 for anything else, so surely it would have made more sense for the Hardwirings for Slot 6 and Slot 8 to be swapped around - if you use a full set of Virtue implants then you don't get additional bonuses on scan strength because you have lost Slot 6 to the Omega implant, but you can still fit a Hardwiring that benefits Deviation...
This would then allow you to boost Signal Strength AND also allow you to boost Deviation too, and it would be a choice to fit the Omega or a Poteque Pharmaceuticals 'Prospector'PPF series if you can't afford an Omega but not block the ability to decrease the Deviation from a scan.
