Wouldn't really surprise me, that game is just on a total different level.

Star Wars Galaxies: Game Update 7 Publish Notes, February 10, 2009
The Ewok Festival of Love
* The Ewok Festival of Love has returned to the galaxy! Visit Tyrena, Kaadara, and the Southern Ewok Lake Village from February 10 through March 10 to join the celebration of love with the Ewok tribe.
* Be sure to check out all of your favorite features from last year's event: dancing Ewoks, chocolate fountains, and much more all return to this year's Festival of Love. Queen Kylantha has once again extended an invitation to the tribe to visit Naboo, so Chief Chirpa has ventured to Kaadara with the tribal shaman Logray to share their rich culture with the galaxy.
* There are four all-new Festival of Love activities this year, including a chance to play cupid! Use any earned Chak Hearts to purchase several rewards that are exclusive to the Ewok Festival of Love.
* The Ewoks are also offering the traditional Festival of Love cuisine. Camby berries and chak juice are available, but because the Ewoks do not yet fully trust outsiders, festival-goers must pay a small price for these luscious treats. The credits are well-spent, however, as this exquisite fare offers beneficial effects.

Yes. Seriously. It's called the 'Festival of Love'.
I admit, I still play SWG. But this was an embarrassment on many levels.

Originally by: Tentacle Monster Now, What's the deal here, this game could use some more bombastic music to go with pvp, maybe some faction music for FW forays. It's like a regular game's soundtrack, but missing all the battle music.
If you run a few missions and hit a Deadspace pocket there are faction music tracks that you CanNOT access through the Jukebox... through luck of the draw however I have aquired these tracks through a "friend" Each race has about 4-9 tracks, 4 tracks are labled EVE Rock and all (except amarr which happens to sound like the same boring Jukebox music) are a tech-rock mix. Oh... and I also have the opening track to Revelations =-)
Contact me via Evemail for info on perhaps aquiring these fantastic tracks yourself. (They are badass driving music)
*Edit* Hope this doesnt violate the EULA -------------------------------------------------- This world is kill or be killed never forget it. |

Originally by: Tentacle Monster Now, I may just be a former WoW***, but it seems to me that the devopers are doing everything they can to make this game sombre. The music and the chronicles are depressing, and the trailers don't even try to be very exciting. What's the deal here, this game could use some more bombastic music to go with pvp, maybe some faction music for FW forays. It's like a regular game's soundtrack, but missing all the battle music. And the chronicles, it's nice that they explain so many different facets of life in EVE, but from most that I've read, it seems they dumped all the emos and criminally insane into EVE and then threw away the key. I'm not saying it should be like Hollywood, with cheesy one-liners and paper-thin plot, but it doesn't have to be depressing either.
Welcome to the most unique mmo on the planet.

EVE's soundtrack is amazing, and very fitting. And it's the only (mmo) game I've ever played that doesn't have obnoxious and distracting music. Want action? Want to get your heart going? Try a different game, really.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

RealX has stated that a new sound system is going to be implemented into eve, and it will allow dynamic music/sound, as well as remixed 5.1 support.

MP3 players work well. Lots of players, myself included, do enjoy EvE's music. But when I get the taste for something else ... well, WinAmp does the trick.
There's lots of workarounds out there. Better workarounds out there.
