The client still is refusing to find the large down load. Mac users have to either magically find this thread or in frustration find that the main site d/l link has finally been updated.

Your post states that the file would be available in a few mins and that was roughly two hours ago, I was unsure if there was a status update I was unaware of. I'll keep my eyes peeled on this thread. Perhaps the links to the auto-updater should be fixed for those who don't want to search on the eve website for the files? It sure would save CCP a lot of bandwidth.

Well, my post complaining that I tried for an hour to d/l a major update that wasn't even being offered, and how nothing was stated about the Mac update on the main Acro update page was here, then upon refresh it was gone, as it is now.

If you download with Safari, auto resume will not work and you may end up wasting your time. -------------- Current status, you need to go to the website to get the 2.2 GB file for download. After this you will get an error for the next patch of 34 Megs. They will let us know when this is avail. -------------- I assume they may possibly wait for this patch until the server is up with no issues so we don't hammer the server trying to connect >> To the comment about Blizzard, Yes I do remember back when WoW updates and patches were handed out. And what a pain in the ass, the server did not run correctly for the next month. I am happy that Eve offers such good updates at no cost other than the subscription. Cheers

I understand there will be an additional patch to 84244 of ~30MB (available soon). Looking at your and other posts, am I on the right path? (I don't have huge bandwidth at my current location and don't want to be downloading the wrong thing for hours on end. ) Thanks.

Limelight have servers all over the world which means that you should always be able to get a reliable and high speed download no matter where you are.

Try downloading the entire installer from the EVE website, that is working for me. I'm getting over 1 MB download speeds right now, not sure if people are having issues connecting or getting good speeds due to Safari, but Firefox seems to be handling well. Safari kept stalling, which might be due to being less tolerable to server connection delays or something.

Apparently the new client doesn't handle the exit call from the OS. I cannot close the application (gracefully) from the dock -> exit, nor from the left-hand side x. It only works from the in-game right-hand side x (close) button. It used to work in the previous client.

I was unable to get the patcher to start earlier, so I downloaded the full build (~5 mins, maybe less). I then started patching the 35MB patch, which involved me going over to the staff room to get coffee, have a chat, come back and I was at 25% (it had taken ages to start). The patch then chugged slowly up to 100% taking maybe 10 mins all together for 35MB. If I click patch on one of my main unpatched copies of eve the patcher doesn't seem to start downloading. I wonder if I leave it if it will eventually start downloading very slowly. Will try that now.

Please remove this irritating link on the MAINWEBSITE 2ndly: Why did I have to go to the forum to find the (hopefully) proper link ? Usually u guys are so awesome, that these blatantly ignorant mistakes do hurt a CCP fan, and a Mac one in particular. and finally a rate of 531kb/s for a comercially working website isnt exactly top of the line imho 70mins on the fastest line available in Germany -this does feel like booting from datasette again oLO

As for the patch, I'm actually impressed in comparison to other MMORGP's of how well this went, especially such a substantial download > 2GB. The Dev team and forum moderators have been explicit in details, and have kept us updated accordingly. My download speed was just under 3mbps in Canada, CCP shouldn't be blamed for ones ISP's incapability. I'm actually surprised so far, everything seems like it is running under scheduled forecasted time. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Where i live, im lucky if i can get 300kbps on a good day.. And thats TOP OF THE LINE Enjoy it, play it.. love it.. Download started :)
