It seems like this patch messed up the feel of fluent gameplay.
-Every action takes about 5-10 seconds to be executed. This is in a nearly empty system where I didn't have any lag at all before the patch.
-Warping is ****ed up beyond anything. Sometimes my ship passes it's destination by far, then it returns to where it should be backwards! Also before some warps the ship swings back and forward like it doesn't know where it wants to go.
-More than often a ship, drone, rat, ... will glitch back to the possition is was at a moment ago.
I hope this gets cleared out soon, because playing like this ...

I see what you did there and I laughed my ass off. Thank you for a good laugh before I leave work for the night.
EDIT: Soon I will be able to see if the patch actually worked or if I need to down load the premium client

I didn't experience any of those issues, but I'm going to guess that we're going to see more bugs than usual this time around.
With a retail box setting the release date in stone, I think they just ran out of time to finish this up. We're likely to have a few weeks, or even a couple of months, of buggy game play to deal with because of that box.

Edited by: Yuko Aoki on 10/03/2009 23:56:48 There is absolutely nothing wrong with my computer. It runs nearly every game properly. Hell, it even runs GTA IV.
Reacting to the "it's patch day" comments: I would expect an experienced company to not launch a patch before it's tested and bug free. That's why there are testservers, no?

Patch days are way better than they use to be - Castor patch was two or three weeks before they got the worst bugs worked out.
Here we are 6 hours after Apoc has gone in and people are *****ing like the world has ended.
Give the devs a break - they'll get the bugs fixed asap and in the meantime if you don't want to take the risk of undocking just chill and chat with your corp mates.
P.S. from the three issues you mentioned all look like your client is desyncing from the server

I had the same problem, but it wasn't consistant. One system I was fine, the next I had the rubberband going. My computer is more than powerful (3GHz Cor2Duo, 2Gig Ram, SLI 8800 GTS) and I'm on cable internet. My guess like many things right now it's just a patch day issue that will hopefully be dealt with in due time.

Well, there does seem to be the occassional bug here and there. The biggest problem I see is with the WH CTD's, especially since this new patch is all about the worm holes.
Also, I believe CCP was hoping for a new review of the game to beat that 6.6 they got at release. If they get reviewed off this again and with all the bugs and crashes it isn't going to get a good rating this time around either. -----------------------------------------------

For me and for many this has been the smoothest patch to date or very close and also the largest. Runs awesome on my newest computer which is by no means "state of the art".
I copied it to my 5 year old computer and it booted it up fine. Performance is a whole another issue, on highs it gets 8 fps / lows it get 17 fps. I will give CCP a while to patch and hopefully they can optimize "Premium Lite" for older and lower end machines. If they can't well I'll run 2 clients on the new one till I can afford another new computer.
That's how life works folks

Funny, I'm not seeing all these bugs/n/crashes you speak of...and lol ohmy whats this? I'm not even using windows! Just because you are having issues does not make it a blanket spread over all of us.
A lot of wine users down in the linux section of the forums went to the game dev section, and helped TEST this thing for weeks before it was released, and in my opinion, this is one of the smoothest patches CCP has ever dropped......and considering the ginormous size of the patch, I'm doubly impressed.
Will there be glitches? Its software, so duh, of course. Is this unplayable? Not in the least. There are bug reports for issues. Use the tools CCP has provided. Whining in this forum is one of the last places they're gonna look outside of posted threads to find and stomp bugs.

I'm on an average P.C and I've never seen the game run so smooth with premium content on, how CCP managed to reduce the resources needed for the graphics I am now using is beyond me, before this patch I was on lowest graphics, now I'm pretty good graphics at the same FPS more or less.
Either the job was poor before or an amazing job has been done for this patch, or both, either way, bravo CCP...bravo.

Hmm.. okay. Since you have it all figured out then explain to me
Why the fact that I sit in station looking at my assets in the items window and then open my assets it says I have nothing in my current system and it shows the system 13 jumps away from me? How is that problem attributed to windows.
How about the fact that the Map viewer now is a pain to manuevuer and use, to find my location I have to search for it, and to find my route it's even worse? That also a windows issue??
What about pixialtion issues with ships in anything other than high? That also based in windows fault?
What of the CTDs when you target certain structures in Worm Holes? Windows again?
How about the saved fitting settings for the corporation with people seeing all types of random designs, presumably from some other corp / alliance that saved them and is showing in our corporation folders? How about the fact that when you save your designs to the corporation folder no one can see them?
How about instead of throwing out a fan boi troll "Save ccp" response you actually inquire about what people are talking about. I'm not saying this thing is busted beyond repair but there are a few issues that need sorted. How do you know I run windows? I could have a hamster wheel running my harddrive for all you know. Because 98% of people run windows to run eve you say? Well, then I would imagine that these are pretty big issues in 98% of people run eve with windows and have issues.

Edited by: NeoShocker on 11/03/2009 17:31:25 There are some bugs, nothing major tho'. One example. say you probe in a system, say D, then found some plex, but can't pinpoint it (say you're in a non-covert ops ship), and must get covert ops to pinpoint. You dock after few systems, and came back to D, and you re-link the probes, said probes are "moving" and stays moving, meaning bugged.
However, if you only jump through systems and switching ships, re-linking probes still work (I think, only did it once and didn't encounter a problem). :s Basically it'll go bugged if you re-link whenever you dock and have to use new sets of probes to re-scan, but that isn't an problem at all since core probes are pretty light in m3. :)
Already petitioned yesterday btw. -----------------------------------
