Well, it saddens me, but even under premium graphics, you could still get your pleasure hub fix, by switching to classic.
But now with premium lite (nice marketing btw), the pleasure hubs are truly, and completely gone.
Gone.
Gone, is the Quafe girl.
Gone, is the roaring highway, under the ship docking area.
Gone is the offices that over looked the docking bays;
Gone are the friendly ads that assured us, our every pleasure could be satisfied at the pleasure hub.
All gone.
Lets raise our glasses and give the pleasure hubs, one last good bye.

Because under the premium graphics, presumably, the hedonists that frequent the pleasure hubs have all disappeared. They are no where to be found.
Apparently premium graphics is serious business - with no need need for Quafe girls and roaring highways!
Sad I know, but such is progress.

I very rarely go in to Gallente stations, but thought the pleasure hub thing fitted the race perfectly, I mean, they all walk around in transparent clothing anyway right?

Online interaction is the chat you have with other players, the ESRB however is still valid on the material CCP puts in the game, like the graphics for the quafe girl and such.

I think that wording pertains to the fact that other USERS might be sexually explicit (and even then the company has to forbid such behavior and penalize it, but the rating points out that they can't PREVENT that). The dev provided content has to adhere to their ESRB rating.
ESRB ratings are serious business. A T rating on a game can mean MILLIONS more sales than if it got an M. Some stores won't even carrry games with an M rating.
I didn't think the Eve I played could get a T rating, but if my darn expansion download ever finishes I'll see if it has been properly kittified.

For many years, Germany always got localized versions with toned down violence. This seems to be fiscally solid.
Therefor I suggest making a localized version for the US, with toned down, well, I guess they call it nudity over there (despite the clothes).
A cold harsh world just got a lot more warm an fuzzy, all thanks to a box label.

I think you'd be surprised. Especially in the bible belt.
Plus, there are huge chains that do the censoring FOR parents.
If I were solely a Walmart shopper there are music CDs and movies my kids (and I) would never know existed. Many record companies have 2 versions of CDs. The artist version and the Walmart version. I imagine that the same censorship occurs in Walmart's gaming section.

I do think that the pleasure hub station interior was the coolest by far though and it would be cool to see it reintroduced to the premium graphics at some stage!

I bought the retail version of the game in 03'. I'm looking at the box and it has an "Teen" ESRB rating on it.
That combined with the fact that looking at the box of WoW (yes I know) has the same rating, but unlike EVE which only lists "Violence" WoW covers "Suggestive Themes" under their "Teen" rating.
So theres definitely something else here at play.
But hey, I agree with Mitnal, a pixel noninteractable girl is inappropriate for teens. Now please excuse me while I undock in my pink ***** shaped spaceship with a cargohold full of prostitutes, exotic dancers, and slaves so I can go inject myself with drugs to make me better at murdering other people.

I completely agree with everyone here that the current station interiors are drab and boring, the pleasure hub one was the one and only station interior that was any good, and since it has been removed eve has become the lesser game.
Get your arse in gear ccp, create some incredible station interiors, some interiors that show there is actually some life in eve, a world beyond the ships, something that shows there are things happening in these boring stations.
And from what I have seen from ambulation it looked pretty dead and sterile.

The chronicles are probably safe, because they are text only and would require READING, something you can't really expect someone to do before judging something...

My former station was a "Quafe" station, and while I really liked it, I must say that it was a bit odd. It looked like you just landed in the middle of a plaza or a Mall. Not the best place for a ship.
While sterile, the new interiors really look like a docking station. I'd only like more variety (a matching interior to every exterior.) But overall I like the change.
I believe WiS will bring some of the missed "ambient" back to stations. And I still hope the dancers have a chance of appearing, since they are not naked, but are just suggestive (which is allowed in a T rated game, if I understand the rating correctly.)
BTW, CCP stated that they didn't want pilots dancing, not the go-go dancers.

As someone pointed out however, that Europe has it's standards too, just more to do with violence than sex.
Thing is we have different standards.
Here's an example.
Wear a fur coat in Canada - not a big deal.
Wear a fur coat in Europe - anti-fur ****'s get after you.
Yet is that a double-standard? No, its a socially defined standard - and to the fur-****'s makes as much sense, as our sexuality standards.

After reading this entire thread all I have to say is wow.
I once was in reverance at the player base of Eve before coming to this part of the forums. I felt most players were intelligent, balanced people who could see from multiple points of view and made Eve a truly wonderful experience with their experience and knowledge of things in game and out. So far all I've seen here is *****ing and whining to the highest level about a very infinatly small part of the game, when compared to the whole. I admit, I liked that station too, but I'm not blaming far right christians or calling "sell out" on ccp. Get a hold of yourselves people, it's difficult to skin something like that station for premium, especially after all the other things they had to work with. And now with ambulation being finalized, you want to rag on CCP for this ****? Get the hell over it, honestly. If you don't like it, give me your stuff and get out. They have their own reasons for doing this, for doing everything really. If it works, fine. So far, it hasn't bothered me in nul sec, low sec or high sec.

You guys need not worry. EVE will still have it's own pleasure-hubs in ambulation.
Just because the site is being stripped of thing deemed inappropriate for a Teen rating, that does not mean that those things will be stripped from the game.
WoW has plenty of scantily-clad devil women npcs that whip whip themselves (and sound pleasured by doing so). Some of the funny phrases you character can say contain sexual innuendos.
Hell, even Little Big Planet -- an E rated game -- has a strip club in one of the official storyline levels.

This is really irritating.
Most Eve players are 20 or older anyway. Why would Eve, a dark, gritty game, go for a "T" rating, especially considering most of its players are not teenagers?
Age of Conan, while in most ways a failure, earned my respect for embracing an "M" rating and not watering down the subject matter in order to get more sales. A "T" rated game would have done a great disservice to Robert E. Howard's setting, and I think making Eve, while not using a classic pre-existing setting, would be better served by embracing an "M" rating and make the setting as dark and gritty as it should be.
In short, I think that trying to shoehorn a game that really should be mature by its nature into a "T"-rated game is selling out.

But the ratings are a bit different from those of ESRB.
And European stores (as far as I know) do not discriminate adult material as American ones.

I don't think it's been two years has it? I do agree, though. I was happy when I saw the blue bar next to this thread and then disappointed when it turned out that it was just a moderator removing a link. This does not bode well.
Can CCP tell us if the pleasure hub will eventually be back, or if it's gone for good? Having only one station interior for Gallente (not sure about the others) is kind of boring. The Pleasure Hub one was my favorite. It had that unique Gallente style--holographic advertising, bustling trains, etc--whereas the current one, while pretty, is kind of bland.

Really? Do you live in the USA? Because I do, and I don't know of any store that doesn't sell M-rated games. Certainly all major retailers sell them. Wal-Mart sells them. Gamestop sells them. Circuit City, Best Buy, and Fry's sell them.
Some of the biggest-selling games in the last few years (Halo 3, Grand Theft Auto 4) are rated "M".
I think you're confusing "M" with "AO".

Ratings are ratings. How ratings are enforced is a shame. There's nothing wrong with putting a label saying "this game is violent and contains nudity." It's a great help for parents (I'm happen to be father and I appreciate the help.)
But stores refusing to sell AO games or even M games is not very wise. Videogames are still being seen as toys for kids. So the "harmful" ones need to be put away for their "safety." Yes, it's that stupid.
And please, don't feel ashamed for this kind of things. There are a lot of things in your country to be proud of. Don't let the bad parts shade the good ones.

Age of Conan made it onto wal-mart shelves. They even had a special edition wal-mart box. So I don't see why anyone should think that anything like that would discourage sales. It had nudity, swearing, severing of heads with guts spewing out, and npcs that would do pole stripper dances at you in the quest dialogue.
If Age of Conan proved anything, its that people want more mature MMOs, it was near half a million subscriptions at its height of its basically 5 month life of being a real game. Thats huge for being out such a short time.

And I find it hard to believe that the reason it was taken out was becuase it violated a t-rating, as there have been plenty of posts over the past year asking for it to be returned. And afaik as I know pre-trinity there where 5 station interior 1 amarr, 2 gallente, 1 minmatar and 1 caldari, why couldnt they have instead of removing the pleasure hub one, add 1 more for the other races?
